I agree you can. Rockets fans can have differences of opinion. But thinking Duncan is better would be a wrong one.

I really hate how Dream's greatness gets ignored. Hakeem did not have that second star like most of the championship teams had. When he won his first ring, the only person you could even mention as being his sidekick was OT (Otis Thorpe for the younger guys), only because he was an all-star. But come on, he don't compare to Jordan having Pippen, Magic/Kareem/Worthy, Bird/McHale/Parish/DJ/Ainge, Isiah/Dumars & "The Bad Boys", Kobe/Shaq, and Duncan/Robinson/Elliott or Duncan/Manu/Parker. I'm not arguing that he's better than Jordan or Magic, just making a point that he won his ring with a bunch of role players while most of the championship teams had multiple great players. And yes I do know Drexler was here for the second one.

Dream beat all the so called great centers in his era. He beat Kareem (even though he was up in age, he was still getting it done), Shaq, Robinson, Ewing. What a lot of people forget is that Hakeem was great on the defensive end. He could switch on a pick and role and keep the guard in front of him. Block shots, steals, help defense. And lets not forget that he was chasing people from behind and blocking shots on fast breaks before Lebron could walk or talk.

The problem is that he played in Houston. If he had played in New York, or LA or even Boston for that matter. He would have gotten more coverage and exposure, which we all know leads to more fans seeing you play more often than not. Not many fans outside of Houston got to see what he did on a nightly basis. We didn't have the luxury as we do today to watch other teams unless it was the Lakers, Bulls Knicks or Celtics, cause those teams played on National TV all the time. Heck, I even had a few of my military buddies say that they didn't know how great Hakeem was until he played in the finals against New York (where they had to double and triple team him), and against Orlando the following year (where he beat down another great young center).
