Yep Simpsons are garbage nowadays, way too aggressive with the jokes that were good in the past. Also too much ish that doesn't happen in Springfield or has nothing to do with the life they had in the past. Same with South Park.
They had been doing 16 shows a year, this year just 14 and this was number 7. No more new shows until October. I just watched this episode on South Park Studios. It shows the next new episode will be October 5th.
In the past few years, when it seemed like everyone was talking about how much the show sucked now, I was one of the ones who still enjoyed it. Even though there were some crappy episodes, there were still enough good ones and a few classics every season to balance it out. This season, there has only been one episode that I actually liked ("TMI") though I guess "City Sushi" was OK I guess.
I was definitely glad I saw this thread before I saw the episode. I wouldn't have liked being totally blindsided by it. And I do actually think this season on the whole has been good, I just thought it was the first couple episodes that were bad. Crack baby/NCAA/slavery episode was classic.
