Did San Antonio trip when we swept them?

You're right, I didn't mean to call you out or something, was just was adding that GSW had been hurt too and still played their game.

I know you didn't mention the post season, I've just been frustrated quite awhile (as I'm sure we all have), and to add that Howard's knee might be more serious than expected just sucks. I think Harden is special, I just hope injuries or lack of players around him doesnt waste the opportunity.

Man, in time, that one (the Harden one) will probably become a classic bad thread here. It will reach like a legendary status, we'll be talking about it for years to come, lol. I don't think I've ever seen a fan in any sport express their thoughts on trading an MVP type player during the season they were in the running for it. It's like asking to trade Jordan/Hakeem etc when they were doing some amazing things. I know Harden hasn't done much in the post season yet for the Rockets, but he is surely the real deal in the league.

The difference is they have a history of playing their best in the playoffs and have championships to fall back on. The current Rockets have a history of choking in the playoffs. So no i wouldnt say our situations are at all the same.

    Haha, fine!!!!

I know I've become very pessimistic... I'm just getting tired of talking this team up, only to be let down. I mean I guess it could be worse... we could be the Knicks, they haven't won it all since Phil Jackson was a player there. I love the Rockets because I'm from Houston, but it's just tough to support mediocre playoff performances, I'm not even talking about this season and couldn't care less about their regular season if it meant playoff success (yes, I watch most of the games) but for me it's all about the playoffs.

We have become known as a first round team or less (other than 2009) since 97!!, and obviously it's not

I posted early... ... Basically, The Rockets aren't changing anytime soon, I mean until the team shows us something different I don't see how they'll be ready by the playoffs. If I'm wrong awesome, I was never a bandwagon fan to begin with, and I've never left the team during the tough seasons (probably like most fans here), but damn it's hard to continue to be supportive when injuries/heart or in general effort aren't freaking there. I'll always be a fan, but I'm going to have to be more realistic in expectations from here on out. Harden is the only positive I see currently on this team.

    I agree in a sense.

My view of things in the west is that some teams matchup great against certain teams while not matching up well with others.

Our 4 games against GS this year has shown me we would have a very, very, very tough time beating them in a playoff series were we to meet.

The thing is, is that there is a very real chance we never would have to play them.

Yeah yeah yeah, in before the "yeah we won't play them because we aren't going to make the playoffs or we will get swept in the first round"

You just can't know this early what the matchups will be in the playoffs, who will be injured by then, what 1st round "upsets" happen and everything else.

So in that sense we shouldn't "trip" too much about an 0-4 regular season record against 1 specific team.

Honestly I would much rather play the Grizzlies in the playoffs
