You start the most meaningless theads on this forum. Who cares about Rafer Alston? The Rockets are going to trade him when their phone rings.

It's hard to accept that fact that you say he's a playmaker. like i said, he ran the offense by bringing up the ball and giving it to mcgrady, so mcgrady can get a pick from yao and make a play. if that was his job, then yeah, he was good at it. However, we need a guy who can perhaps do more. No, I dont want Steve Nash. I'm not asking for that much. I'm asking for a guy who can take it to the basket (like mike james and francis). Someone who is not afraid of contact. Someone who can make a team pay for leaving him open. This whole conversation is irrelevant. We got those guys and Rafer is stuck on the bench, if not gone. Again, I'll give you that Rafer did an excellent job running the offense...But, calling a play, giving it to mcgrady, and running to the opposite side of the floor awaiting a pass for a spot up three is not gonna be enough. There are a lot of guards in the NBA who can do that. Anyone can run that "offense"... Bottom line, it doesnt matter what you think. It doesnt matter what i think. We already made moves and Rafer WILL NOT BE THE STARTING PG NEXT YEAR. THANK GOD :D :D

LOL! :D I've been reading this thread and you tracyyao01 are completely fixated with this idea of point forward! How many times are you going to bring point forward into the conversation?

I recognize this guy from another sports website, and for starting this very same argument, he was banned. he seems to be obsessed with this issue.

rafer wasn't the one creating on offense aka running the offense. tmac was the one.

    creating means running the offense?

then yao was running the offense earlier this season because he was creating by double-teams

    POINT-CENTER.

Umm, Can we call skipping to half court and passing it to T-Mac running the offense.

Walk up and smell the red paint!!!!!

T-Mac ran the point and got things done last season!!!

    T-mac was the primary playmaker.

Alston was the Point / set up guy and the one who called out the plays and was the primary ball-handler.

It would make no sense why the rockets got rafer if he was there to shoot 3's.
