Isn't this article suppose to be about Morey...where is all this Lin talk coming from? PB is better defensively but I don't think he's a true PG because of his lack of passing abilities. AB is a true PG and has proven it years ago, I dong understand the complaints and talk about the PG position, I would be discussing the PF position because we would get manhandled by the Grizzlies right now...I'd lol seeing Delfino try to guard ZBo. McHale is lucky because OKC has been trying too hard to give KD free reign and having a shootout against the Rockets. The key to beating the Rockets if they will is to exploit the 2 and 4 position. lack of defense , open coverage and lack of big men defending.

Rockets are so lucky to have a GM the caliber of Morey.

If I were Les Alexander I'd give Morey a lifetime contract if I could..

That's because hardly anyone prepared for Beverly. Did you see the numbers Lin put up when no one was game planning for him?

You have a sample size of 82 games for Lin, on a ho-hum season, vs Bev for a few games.

Despite that I agree with the other posters. If you are talking about contract $ vs VALUE no question Lin is super cheap.

If we are talking about him even being avg at best, the revenue he brings in to the Rockets organization far exceeds what he's being paid. Did you see the stock increase Linsanity did for NY? The fact MSG was even able to close a negotiation with cable and get what they wanted...all of that off of Lin's back and the Asian community.

Lin is big for the Asian community. As long as he's average, he's going to be worth a lot to the NBA, and to his community. People are just going to have to stop hating and accept that.

Would be no different if there was only 1 white guy or 1 black guy in the NBA. It is what it is. He's very, very valuable. And at worst, you can say, he's not bad.

I find it amazing that the Rockets were playing and competing with the #1 seed with the following players on court:

    Parsons
    Smith
    Brooks
Delfino (2nd quarter) Beverley (3rd quarter)
    Garcia

Prior to the season starting, you would think that lineup (with the exception of Parsons) would be together only in a blowout win or loss, not during important minutes in a playoff elimination game. Morey acquired 3 of those players in season. McHale also deserves credit .

The awesome thing is if he was bored...he could turn it all over again, only keeping parsons, and he would still net just about the same results. he's a mad scientist

The Thunder get so much love for the way they built their team, but they traded their star player (Ray Allen) for a top 5 pick, where our star players (McGrady/Yao) broke down before they could be traded. Then the Thunder tank for multiple years and get multiple top 5 picks (Durant/Westbrook/Harden). The Rockets never tanked and never got a good pick.

The Thunder model is really just tank multiple years and draft unbelievably well. Not exactly Moneyball. More like fantastic scouting and a lot of luck.

Orlando is following the same plan, tank tank tank.

The loss of Westbrook has exposed the Thunder as not that cerebral an organization. They are very pedestrian in their game planning and adjustments.
