This story just keeps giving! Hahahahahahahahahaha :grin::grin:
http://pepperonsports.tumblr.com/ Notre Dame’s victory over Michigan State and subsequent media explosion appears to have been the turning point for the source and many of his teammates. The source said while the players discussed their suspicions amongst themselves, they never confronted Te’o. “We would never bring it up. But we would look at him when he would get all emotional during media about his girl,” the player said. When asked if he thought Te’o was a good actor, the player replied, “Very good.”
pffft, James Harden was Teoing even before it was cool... but the only thing fake about strippers is their breasts
The most obvious BS story ever. I really hope nobody falls for his dumb story. He deserves every ounce of ridicule headed his way.
Think about how many college chicks are probably throwing themselves at Te'o. A good way to save face by not pursuing any of them is to tell your teammates that you already have a girlfriend... in niagara falls... that's super hot. lol
1) Football stars can be socially awkward penguins. Football stars can fall in love via written letters, emails, and texts. It's not that hard to understand how it is possible. 2) I haven't poured over the details of the "meetings", but people need to realize the word "meet" for an online relationship can have varied meaning. When did you first encounter their online presence? When did you first write? When did you first talk on the phone? Etc. 3) It's looking more and more like the person pretending to be this girl "killed her off". I don't think T'eo, even if he's a sociopath, would bother killing this fake girlfriend on his own a week after his grandmother died in some far fetched attempt to get Heisman votes several months later. Is it possible he's a total sociopathic liar and wacked out of his mind? Yes. Is it possible this was made up for more personal/social reasons than for the Heisman? Even more so. Is it possible he was duped and lied to CYOA and prevent further embarassment? Absolutely. Is it possible we don't know all the details? Very likely. The simplest answer here is usually the most probable, I'm withholding judgment until I know more and hear from the parties involved instead of just deadspin.
How long has Te'o claimed to have had this girlfriend? How long has this hoax supposedly been going on? He has said that he communicated with her over the internet and over the telephone. Was this a hoax that has been going on for several years, or several months?
Sadly I could see this story ending violently especially if Te'o is gay. I hope he doesn't wander off somewhere.
It's obviously 1) and 2). And Donny...SMH, seriously. There is absolutely no way - at all - that what you are saying is logically possible. There is no logical possibility that he was not lying about this - he said he met her in person and he said his brother called him to say she was dead, spoke about her family, etc. etc. etc. The whole thing was a big lie he was in on from the beginning. And yes, he is gay (not that there is anything wrong with that). Now, the real question is - . . . . did he even have a grandmother that died on that day?
