By the way, I also agree that this is the Palin's way of staying in the limelight. It's a shame that you have to use your 14 year-old daughter as a pawn to do this. I say this because first, I feel they used their 18 year-old daughter to do this (the whole pregnancy thing....then now the abstinence thing). Now, I feel that they are falsely accusing a late night tv show host (pathetic?) of making a joke about their 14 year old (which clearly did NOt happen...clear to anyone with an average IQ who is not a bias Repub.). It almost, I dare say, reeks of poor parenting....

But if it's what the Republicans need to get a charge in their fan base....

Sorry to go too political here....

Obviously interviews aren't her strong suit.

I heard a little pre-sob vocal quivering right at the end of the 2nd clip interview.

I guess radio talk show guys are a little more aggressive, and a little quicker on their feet than dolled-up copy-readers.

I agree. Taking her 14 year old daughter to a baseball game after attending a disabilities awareness and support function reeks of attention seeker.

I think the best part of this thread is Contessa Brewer getting absolutely destroyed.

its really just not a funny joke, I don't get why the audience is laughing. He just isn't a funny guy imo.

Wow really? Is it possible she just wanted to take her to a baseball game? You know, just for the sakes of going to a baseball game with family? Unless you are not suppose to go out after attending a disabilities awareness and support function.

Letterman's obvious left-wing bias and poor material will continue to keep his ratings falling. Anyone with a half of brain knows that politician's children are not fair game for jokes regardless if they are 18 or 14. Even Obama has brought this up.

It was poor taste imo, and it's the reason why I watch Conan and Leno. Two hosts with enough sense not to bring their political views into their show.

Obama was never portrayed as a monkey in a cartoon by the illustrator of the cartoon. Al Sharpton, however, decided that we should all see it a different way.

You decide for yourself. To me, it looks like a likening of Barrack as a monkey as he was pushing for a stimulus bill. This is just like how Letterman never saw it as he was making fun of her 14 year old daughter. Jokes are like art, which is always left up to interpretation. That is the danger in making a statement, someone might see it differently. The key point in all this is when you are outraged, maybe consider leaving it alone?

Personally, I hate political correctness, I think art and comedy should have no one to answer to. I think pure 100% free speech is a good thing. I've always said, and will always say, you don't like it change the station....

Letterman's joke was probably bad taste, but I have a problem with Palin saying the joke reflects how "older men" take sexual advantage of "young girls" in this country. Really? You got all that from this joke? Sarah Palin just needs to go away. She's got no shot for the presidency.

Between Saturday Night Live and David Letterman, NBC must just Love the McCain campaign. Pretty much everyone had forgotten about those programs until McCain and Palin stumbled along!
