frankly none of this crap offends me but it seems to offend a bunch of other people. And how can I say that something that is dealing with race or sex is not offensive if the target says it is. Everyone has their own standards but I think it is pretty obvious logic is not the driving force behind the standards of when someone is considered to have gone over the line.

Letterman should be fired just like Imus was. There is no difference in what either of them said.....

Unless of course you factor in that David Lettermans comment was about Sarah Palin and her family while Don Imus made his comment about a group of black college athletes.

so calling educated black college atheletes as "nappy headed hos"

is the same as joking about a previously pregnant teenager out-of-wedlock as being "knocked-up"?

Let's just pretend that the comments were on an equal level.
You were in favor of Imus being fired for his comments?

They're both cheap shots to young adult women; and Imus's was incidental and on the fly, while Letterman's was completely planned. Letterman is just more valuable to CBS and their advertisers than Imus was at the time.

And racial jokes will always be more controversial. That's just the tradeoff. Whites have to watch what they say (lawsuits and protests), blacks have to watch what we do (longer jail sentences and "accidental" shootings).

This is a good Sarah Palin set of jokes. If Letterman did this.....I would watch him every day for the rest of my life!

I wont post the direct video......be warned. Not Safe For Work, Basso, Christians, Pro-Life people, God, the Palin Family, GOP, and anyone who has once ounce of "I get offended" in them.

That leaves people like me. I laughed my ass off!

I am going to hell.....I know!

This is the funniest part of it all. A real knee-slapper.

Letterman protest draws more media than activists

NEW YORK (CNN) — A protest rally against David Letterman over a failed joke about Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and her daughter attracted more members of the media than protesters Tuesday afternoon.

A crowd of 15 protesters upset with the late night comic held signs and occasionally shouted as they stood across the street from Letterman's studio.

But they were often hidden from view by the more than 35 members of the media there to cover the protest, and out-shouted by a few very vocal counter-protesters.

Radio talk show host John Ziegler — who is behind the FireDavidLetterman.com Web site that organized the protest, and who is an outspoken supporter of the former Republican vice presidential candidate — told reporters that the turnout at the event was not representative of the number of people who have responded to his site and e-mailed.

He also argued that Letterman should have been fired, and the only reasons that he hasn't been fired were "the media's love of David Letterman and the media's distrust and, I believe, hatred of Sarah Palin."

He also called Letterman's apology — issued on Monday's program and accepted by Palin — bogus and said that the comedian should make a charitable donation to an organization of Palin's choosing.

Ziegler made a film about the 2008 presidential campaign called "Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected and Palin Was Targeted."

yeah I think Dave burned them pretty good by apologizing the night before. If they had any brains they would have called it off.

it's amazing how much time people have to be so ignorant. PEOPLE! spend that time educating yourself, making money or, heaven forbid, making a joke.

Okay this is vile and disgusting...This is proof that this joke of a comedian seemingly has a peaked interest with the status of young girls for some strange reason...This is disturbing to say the least...

Please closely monitor the video and study his reaction, as the beautiful Aishwary Rai at around 3:42 speaks about modeling...His previous questions are stupid such as "where are you from?"...(when any reasonable intelligent person can tell she is Indian)...
Then as she speaks about modeling...He seemingly gets excited and immediately asks "were you a young girl when you started!!!"...It just creeps me out a bit...and considering his recent "joke" which supposedly didn't involve the 14 year old (dispite the signs of such)...this is just reinforcement to my suspicions...

P.S. Bonus special reference to Bollywood!...and her quick wit has Dave stuttering and completely uncomfortable...LOL
