The joke only ever had anything to do with a 14 year old girl because Palin chose to make it about her. If it weren't for Palin's fervor about turning this into a political opportunity, her 14 year old daughter wouldn't even know about it. Leno made a similar joke about Bristol and Edwards and Palin didn't say a word. SNL made incest jokes about the Palin family before Palin happily appeared on the show. The difference between then and now is that she is a washed up national joke now. She had to do something to rehab her career and she knew she could count on silly people like yourself to indulge her/your common love of being outraged.

Of course, Palin's been using her children to advance her career all along; this is just one more instance of the same. But it wouldn't work without fool lemmings like yourself, so congrats! You're making a real difference!

A 14 year old girls' name in connection to the factual circumstances which substantiated a sexist "joke" albeit based on ignorance by the media...
