I'll give him a pass if he's been treated like the next Malone or Nash, neither was ever regarded as the best player in the league. The media has crowned him in the list of MJ, Magic, before he won in game in the finals. In reality, he can't even hold Kobe's jockstrap.
The media crowned MJ before he won a game in the Finals too. Chamberlain was treated like the 8th wonder of the world before winning a championship back in the day. Got anything else?
You know, I feel you on this. The guy hasn't "won" anything yet but he has had defining games in the playoffs that only very few people have had. Those defining games are what made a lot of superstars in the past, Jordan's 63 at the Garden, Magic's 40 point game in the finals and Dreams annihilation of Robinson to name a few.
Goodbug has got to be the most annoying Kobe fan on this site ever. I'm amazed by the double standard and the insane logic.
Those guys went on to win the championships, that's why they have defining moments. What defining moments Malone had? And no, Jordan's defining moment was his shot over Russell. Not a losing effort when his team was almost swept every year in the first round.
You're saying that in retrospect. You think the media didn't pay any attention to Jordan before he won those championships? He was the most media-hyped player in NBA history before even reaching the Finals. And he had many defining moments that predate his Finals appearances. Never heard of "The Shot"?
63 at the BOSTON GARDEN vs one of the greatest teams in NBA history isn't a defining moment? Jordan had 5 titles before his closing shot over Russell, while memorable, I would say 35 in the 1st half vs Portland was just as defining or switching hands in mid-air vs the Lakers. That brings us back to James, what he did at the Palace was incredible to see or 42 in game 7 at the Garden and how about the buzzer beater vs Orlando all these are breathtaking moments that defining him as the great player he is today.
Because he's a current player? Malone had his moments, Barkley had his moments, I just don't see those clips played these days.

They talk about drugs, World Wide Wes and Coach Cal influence, and his personal problems effecting his on court performance.
Even their owner is perplexed about the whole situation. Around Cleveland, the Owner of the Cavs, Dan Gilbert doesn't know what's wrong with LeBron. He is going around town asking beat writers and people in LeBron's inner circle what's up with him. He fears that someone in his life is giving him bad advice. If and when the Cavs do get eliminated out of the 2nd round, it's gonna be an interesting fall-out outcome.
And to all the people wondering why Delonte didn't see any playing time in the 2nd half, it was because he had an episode again, late in the 2nd quarter. Apparently, he's been off his meds recently.
