I forgot about Lee. Maybe someone like Mike Miller would be willing to take a little less for a bonafide chance a a Championship?.Someones with Millers playmaking/3pt shooting skills would be perfect to complement that team.

You better go back an re-read your scouting reports on Favors. He has tremendous athleticism and upside but he's a longer term project.

Hey don't we have a 3.1 million trade exception. We could absorb Humphries salary plus 3 mil cash and a first round draft pick.

Won't happen. Steven A. Smith already reported that he's going to Miami about a week back.

I don't know if trade exceptions work the same as regular trades with the 25% rule. I suspect it can't run over the TE amount, which would leave us a little short. However, if it did work I'd say do it. Loading up on future #1 picks can't do anything but help.

common errors when discussing this year free agency among fans and media.

    1) when talking about who goes where, they tend to ignore how these mega stars get to there. they think a team can get two mega stars as long as a team has enough space for two max contract. it can happen only when max player takes 30 mil less money. as morey pointed out, most likely those mega stars will go through S&T. why? coz 30 mil extra money. it's foolish to think those mega stars don't think money is the #1 priority.

    2) when talking about 2 or 3 of 4 top notch players going to one team and teaming up with the existing roster, ppl tend to ignore what S&T really means. getting two or 3 mega stars through S&T demands a lot to give up. the existing roster will be dramatically different when 2 or 3 top notch players go to one team.

    3) when talking about S&T, ppl tend to ignore the original teams do have certain level of leverage. those mega stars can't completely dictate the deal coz the team can reject the deal if it has nothing but crap. what's the point for a team to get crap just for making an extra player happy?

the reports on bulls, nets, and heats are typical examples. ppl tend to believe they are true (to clarify my position, i don't think rox has a good chance to land one of them).

Nets: the current roster plus lebron and bosh does look good. but to get both of them, they might have to give up sth. harris and lopez both might have to be given up. in this case, the new roster doesn't look good anymore.

    Bulls: it's same to Nets.

Heats: they don't even have enough assets to do 2 S&Ts. i don't know how valuable the treat exception is? it's one reason riley has to offer a deal to one of mega stars and hope one of them take 30 mil less money to complish his ambitious, putting 2 mega stars on one team. even he may be success. after that, how to fill the rest spots becomes a headach. i don't believe those mega stars won't think about. after getting max, those stars will consider winning.

so getting one mega star plus a 2nd tie star who takes less money is more realistic to Nets, Bulls, and Heats. Heats is only team that may end up with two mega stars since they can sign wade w/o giving up anything.

if lebron goes to any other teams but cavs, bosh most likely will not team up with lebron. if lebron stays with cavs, he can either play with lebron or wade assuming wade stay with heats. 3 of them playing for one team methmetically is possible but in reality it's impossible.

A frontline of Yao, Bosh, Ariza would give teams fits, too.

Add LeBron and Bosh to any team's starting lineup and it's going to look pretty good.

I've always thought New Jersey was the best move for lebron if bosh came with him. But as Rocket fan I want bosh here. With all that said if I was bosh it would be between NJ and Houston as a destination.
