    What kind of a player cares so much about a meaningless award? He would let his team down in the process because of that? That's just deplorable.

    Well said. Makes one wonder if there is a good example/parallel of another true superstar that overcame these "mental toughness" issues.

    Is this something he can "grow" out of or is it just the unchangeable attribute of certain players?

    It wasn't just Harden the whole team did the perfect storm for the bad lost last night. PFs went 4 for 18 and Brewer 3-12 that can not happen again.

    If you think MVP is meaningless, you are ignorant about sports.

    Do you really believe players are truthful when they claim not to care about the greatest individual award in sports?
    Okay

    We can agree it's deplorable if losing the award effected Beard's play negatively, but that doesn't make MVP meaningless.

    Rockets staff has to handle this with extreme caution, not winning this MVP could destroy his career.

    Heard bought a nice shelf and is now staring at this empty shelf and drinking himself to sleep every night.

    Imagine all the emotional pain this has caused, I think we should have a therapist with him 24/7 for the next years.

    Its amazing how many skills harden is deficient in. He shoots average from midrange and 3, he can't shoot off screens or off dribble and he isn't athletic enough to finish at rim on consistent basis so he looks for refs whistles

    I have been saying all year that Curry is better, and he is still better.

    Curry is an all time great, Harden is on his way but not there yet.
