Technically, no since McHale was the one that astronomically overpaid KG in the first place. Because of that contract KG ended up essentially being an albatross. It's hard to ask any coach to win big whenever you have an overrated franchise player sucking up nearly your entire payroll and basically forcing your GM to collect talent only through the draft. KG is so lucky he was finally traded to the Eastern Conference and to a scenario where he wouldn't have to be the guy taking over games in the 4th quarter. He used to be basketball's equivalent of A-Rod or LaDainian Tomlinson. Now, unfortunately he's a champion and came dangerously close to winning a second MVP (Dream = 1 MVP for those unable to grasp how disgusting this thought was).
Ok guys so i've decided to show you the email war that has erupted. I'll spoiler it so it isn't too space consuming. Celtic Fan: Spoiler It's not that I don't like Houston, but you can't ask anyone but fans to believe in something entirely un-proven. Like you doubting the HELL out of the C's last year. Some good injury luck and an angry journeyman and all of a sudden Houston's winning titles? I'm yet to be convinced... Playing with heart and being loyal allows you to 'deserve' a championship (KG, Iverson, Ewing, Elgin Baylor). Playing for 3 different teams, splitting from your cous because you want more spot light, being the softest superstar in the league and letting rookies beat up on you, allows you to deserve nothing but doubt - which t-mac gets plenty of... Me: Spoiler I wouldn’t consider an elbow to the guts than being flattened to the floor beating up on a superstar. But hey. Your boy KG is perfect. It’s not like he played a part in getting Saunders fired because he said he wouldn’t play if his boy Troy Hudson wasn’t given minutes. Pretty pathetic from a superstar. But I guess getting a fast break dunk – against a squad who had 3 rookies, 1 10 day contract player – and a 12+ year veteran on the floor – and screaming and pumping your chest talking trash as your run back up court makes you a superstar. And doubting on the Celtics last season was warranted. Let’s see what Kevin Garnett has done in his career. How many times had he made it past the first round? Once. Thanks largely to Sam Cassell and Spree… They go – and so do Minnesotta from the playoffs. Amazing. So you’re telling me Kevin Garnett – the guy who never made it past the first round before he had decent help – is so much better than the guy who hasn’t made it past the first round – with no help? That logic is truly amazing. I think Garnett benefitted a hell of a lot from having Sam Cassel than McGrady did from having Darryl Armstrong. So a team with a great shooter, one of the best swingman, the second best PF, a PG no one expected anything from, and a C no one expected anything from can’t be doubted? As opposed to Houston who Have a PG who can play (I don’t rate him too highly) one of the best swingman in the game, the best C in the league, one of the top 3 defenders in the league, plus Luis Scola.. Fresh off dominating the Olympics. Add onto that another swingman who is one of the best defenders in the league. You’re right.. Houston definitely need to doubted and claimed they can’t do *****.. While the Future hall of fame packed Celtics of 2008 were destined and proclaimed to win the NBA Championship by everyone but me. Anyone who had any logic and doubted them is obviously wrong. You read too much media intakes of Tracy McGrady. Doesn’t play with heart? So he played the rest of the season – and once again improved his numbers in the playoffs all while having his starting centre out, and having his starting PG out of the playoffs. And immediately after his season finished had surgery on his shoulder and knee.. You’re right – McGrady is a little girl who’s soft and has no heart. Celtics Fan: Spoiler Hahaha don’t even start matty… For starters those who followed college knew that rajon rondo was always going 2 break out, he is a good point guard… Kendrick perkins was a chance yes. Ray allen is now one of the best defenders in the league, and although rockets claim to have the best defensive players in the league, that doesn’t mean they will Play good defense! t-mac is a choker, u would think a team with T-mac, and the “best C in the game” could have got it done at least once. And now u cant think Houston has a chance coz ron artest has come hahaha! Me: Spoiler Actually, I think they have a chance because they have another year of Scola. I think they have a chance because they’re actually got people who can shoot the ball. I think they have a chance because their 2 PF have range out to the 3 point line – name me one player capable of handling Ming down low. I hate on Ming as much as anyone – the fact is down low in one on one coverage he is going to score on anyone. I think they have a chance because the only reason they haven’t advanced is because of injury. Rondo is a good player I love his drives – what the intention was – people doubted him because he hadn’t proved that he was a capable jump shooter. Don’t even get me started on Ray Ray. I was the one defending Allen last season to Benny. I love allen. Please don’t even come up with the argument that T-Mac is a choker. You obviously have never A – seen him play a playoff game in your life or B - do not know the definition of a choker. If a choker is someone who finds the open man and expects them to knock down a shot because he is double teamed – before he enters the half court – than yes he is a choker. Please do not blame McGrady for the inability of Luther Head and other Rocket players who are unable to hit wide open shots. Having injuries to 2 of your starters in the playoffs also plays a large part as to why the Rockets have not advanced in the playoffs. Call T-Mac whatever you want – a choker definitely is the last thing he is. Well.. Adding Artest to the second best defense in the league – ehhhhhh I’m pretty sure most people would consider their defense to get better. And if you don’t think Houston has a chance because ron artest has come? I’m laughing right back at you. Let’s just break it down. With Artest – the rockets have someone capable of scoring besides Ming and McGrady. With artest – the rockets can send McGrady to the bench and not play as many minutes. With Artest – the Rockets can go small and have him at PF and Scola at C – sending Ming to the bench and not play as many minutes. Less minutes = less chance of injury. If all Artest does is allows those 2 to rest than it already is a massive win for the Rockets. But hey. You guys can hate all you want. I’m sure Kobe is laughing at the Rockets too. I mean he’s the one facing Artest and Battier. But having 2 of the top 5 perimeter defenders in the game doesn’t mean anything does it. Celtics Fan: Spoiler Not really because a) That may look good on paper, but have the proved it can be done? t-mac has had lots of time to get past the first round of the playoffs, and he hasn’t, so u cant say he hasn’t choked coz he has never won a series. I see the rockets struggling if they come across a team like new Orleans or Portland who are unorthodox and can throw the ball around. A front court of oden, Aldridge, channing frye, ike diogu and joel pryzbilla could handle it. The rockets gotta get out of the west first before they would be ready 2 face the champs. Me: Spoiler So let me get this straight – the Celtics were all proven champions last season before they came together right? I mean.. they sure looked good on paper.. But ? I mean had they proved it could be done before last season? Please. Any argument you’re throwing out there can be applied to the Celtics of last season. T-Mac HAS had lots of time to get out of the playoffs. 7 series to be precise. What T-Mac hasn’t had are talented players around him (besides in Houston – when they’ve been injured). Go ahead – look up the rosters of the squads McGrady has taken to the playoffs. And then name me which of those starters would be starters on other playoff teams. I would suggest you don’t bother trying – because the likelyhood of finding that is very low. I see New Orleans struggling if they come across Houston. Much like they did last season. Chris Paul is going to get his. Yao Ming is going to get his. The question is. How much is Posey going to stop McGrady. Than the next question is. Who the hell is going to defend Artest? Peja? HAAAAAA. Mo Pete? Considering they want to ship him I doubt it. I see Houston laughing their heads off if they meet Portland. I am just going to love T-Mac average 40 points in that series. I have yet to hear a reply back. Some of the details in there could possibly be off just a little bit. But i'm not letting someone hate on the Rockets.
i just wanna say ''go the hell.man ,without KG ,the celtics just no celtics ,who the hell is Paul.and who the hell are you ,man ~
