Sounds good to me. I edited my post to prevent further debate in the GARM. We will resume this in the D&D
I do recall Yao once being asked in an interview about Eddie's problems and he said something about how he liked Eddie very much, he was actually very nice very humble person and Eddie always was thinking of Yao and so forth. But he also said Eddie was extremely shy and reserved. No one on the team could get him to talk or to participate with the team. He would just get so depressed he would sit in his room and drink and pout and sleep. It's really sad that with all that money and talent and contracts with NBA teams that no one got this guy the help he needed. I think I remember him going to Betty Ford and working with Lucas but man, obviously his problems went way beyond just the alcohol and weed. That incident with shooting a gun in the air over a feud with his girl, and that he hit her (always a major red flag something is very wrong with a guy) and the whole infamous p*rn crash......... Someone should have gotten this guy some serious help. Where the hell was his family in all this?
This death has some similarities to Len Bias' death. Both had limitless potential, and tragic disappointing outcomes. RIP Eddie
Please teach me about this bible and what's in it. Feel free to show me in the D&D. I honestly have not read it. I was raised by Buddhist parents, but do not follow the religion as an adult. I have picked up a few things here and there about it from TV. Thank you, SonKhan.
It is hard to imagine what his family is feeling tonight but I am sure despair is one. Tragedies seem to hit harder in the death of a loved one. There is a shock factor to bear along with the death. We're all shocked by it and we are of no relation. Praying for the peace that passes all understanding on the family and friends of Eddie Griffin.
I still recall when we made the trade for Eddie Griffin... so much talk of potential. It's sad the he is gone. Any human loss is sad. And he was so young.
RIP Eddie. He had so much potential. The guy's life was a trainwreck, and he didn't overcome the demons in his life.
julio-r, there are HATERS even in tragedy. They think they are better than everyone else. Some people don't understand that people have problems in their lives. Then again, people who hate on tragedies are probably psychos not worth talking about. these people would probably hate on John Lucas cause he had issues with drug abuse. Eddie Griffin has a family just like all of us, he has friends too. I hope his soul finds peace.
This is incredibly sad I am always sad at the loss of a life, particularly a young life, but something about this is hitting me very hard. The troubles, the tribulations, the potential... ...damn. May you R.I.P, Eddie Griffin
Wow. I had actually gotten to the point I detested Eddie Griffin. It was disgusting watching him squander away talent that most of us would kill for. Step by step I watched him throw away everything most people dream of, and I strongly resented him for that. Now he's gone - and I find that I'm sad. I'd say I'm very sad even. Perhaps it's guilt for the way I felt about him... Who knows. But man, what a tragic story. He always needed just one more chance and got it.... he'll never get another. So sad.
