Both Shaq and Chuck agreed with me, that Howard has a. attitude problem b. never improved in offense.

LOL I watched it several times and I don't see anything about Houston. I think a lot are wishing he said Houston, but I just don't see why he would tell the Laker GM anything at all about Houston as he's being ejected in game 4 of the playoffs.

This is what i got from Rockets salary situation. If you add in Parsons, Smith, and Beverly who were non-guaranteed, you come up with $41,938,187 for next season. If we want to sign Dwight with max at $22mi/yr, that will be $63mil for next season which would be over the cap.

Larry Coon says the cap will be between 58.5-60mil for next yr. So we still have to get rid of $3-4mil. If we can get rid of Trob and White for a pick or even nothing and not take back salary, we should be good right? Let me know if i am missing anything? What about minimum salary requirement? Isn't it at $51mil? If so, signing Howard would take care of that since i heard Scola's salary won't count as cap if we meet minimum. Also, what is roster minimum requirement?

So let's say we do get rid of Trob and White to get under cap, that means we can keep Asik and have Howard play PF OR wait until we get a desirable offer for Asik before we ship him out.I heard Lakers can't do sign/trade even if we wanted to since they're way over cap according to new CBA right? Plus, they don't have any asset we really want anyway.

You can subtract Garcia ($6M) and Delfino ($3M) right now because there is no way Morey is going to pony up to those dollars. And that's $10M right there.

If Dwight is signed, Asik's $8M is going to be traded and likely TRob's $3M as well. That's another $12M right there. Rockets will be sitting pretty in the offseason to acquire a max guy plus another near max player (or 2 reasonably priced vets).

    Sup Clutch City!

I think we have a legit shot to sign D12 this summer. Morey/Harden/Hakeem will all show him the city of Houston and the goals we can reach with him on the team. We have a lot of young talent to build around him. Hopefully D12 will see that the future is brighter in Houston.

So do I, but I still want him.

I think if he's your go-to option, you'll fail. But if I think he's your most dominant player, but your 2nd option, you'll succeed. I think that's rare combo to find. I think Wade-Howard(if that were to happen somehow) is the best combo of it, but I think Harden-Howard is definitely a realistic possibility of it.

In Houston, he'd be our best player but now our go-to player. Harden still gets that. I think he'd be an absolutely fantastic piece here, and I think he'd be motivated.

It's tough when everyone's ragging on; Shaq, Magic, Kobe, management. And then Orlando is hating on you, and in the NBA's eyes they all see you as this or as that. It's easy to speak from our perspective, but it does wear on you(thanks social media). I think he needs a fresh start, if it were to be in Houston, I think we found our top 5 player. Not necessarily our best O player, but undeniably our best player.

And that's a deadly tandem. We'd still have our work cut out for us(finding a 4-man), perhaps a better coach and solidfying our bench, but we got the big rocks in. And keeping Parsons is very important if we get Howard, cause Parsons can slide to the 4 spot and is a quality 3rd option.

lol stay away from this guy. He quit on his team last night, has 0 mental toughness. At least stick it out and take your beating like a man with your team.

No disrespect, Clutch... but I don't understand this opinion at all. He's beyond the stands, nobody on the court (including the officials) can even see him - let alone hear him.... On the otherhand, he's walking past the stands, Kupchak pats him and he takes less than a step and starts mouthing off.... with Kupchak being the only guy of significance that would even be able to hear him. Further, note the guy escorting Dwight putting his arm around him and apparently trying to usher him away from an incident. Lastly, somewhere in the middle of his rant, it looks like he says "hands"... so I'm thinkin he's spouting off at Kupchak about putting his hands on him....

Sorry for the necro bump, but this is the first thing I thought of when Howard announced his intentions. Could it have been what he said?

I think the only question really is whether he said Mitch, or he changed the M to a B.

He said he was "going to have a mocha cappuccino," which does sort of look like it contains the word "Houston." Maybe he said he was going to Houston. I'm really back and forth on this one.
