He teamed up with his good friend, Hakeem to win a ring because he couldn't do it alone. Was his ring tainted?

Different situation. Trade vs. free agency.

Why couldn't Clyde do it alone? He had some decent talent in Portland. He was drafted by Portland. He should have stayed with that team forever. Is Dream a traitor for going to Toronto?

Drexler wasn't in the prime of his career. His coming to Houston was like Ray Allen/Garnett to Boston.

Barkley/Pippen coming to Houston was like Malone/Payton going to LA. Almost at the end of their careers, still chasing that ring.

There's a big difference between switching teams near the end of your career when you need additional support vs. switching in the prime of your career.

A better hypothetical would be, would Dream have been a traitor had he gone to Chicago to play with Scottie and Michael?

I was one of those who had an issue with Lebron going to Miami. However after seeing Miami play a full season and during the playoffs, I've backed away from it. I don't think Wade's at the prime of his career anymore; he's put alot of miles on those tires, and has maybe 2-3 yrs left goin at a good clip then its down hill from there. Bosh on the other hand can still go a good 4-6 yrs.

I wouldn't doubt that there's some people around here who love Lebron more then they love Hakeem.

I think it's time to fight a new cause.

Clyde was traded for a real asset -- a starting power forward on a championship team. James was traded for a couple of crappy draft picks and some salary cap sleight-of-hand.

The two situations are not remotely the same.

This situation is not even the same, it's like they are purposely neglecting true history to prove a point.

Why is this guy posting on a Rockets board? He's obviously not a Rockets fan.

Hes a bandwagonner. One day he is a Rockets fan, then Rockets become bad, so he skips onto the next one. Him and tmac1 are currently rocking the Heat as their flavor of the month.

Rockets board is still a basketball board, it has fans from other teams.

I get the comparison with Hakeem vs Robinson and Lebron vs D-rose because of the MVP similarities however there were people saying Lebron dominated Rose better then Hakeem dominated Robinson. Some people really need to watch that series again.
