Russ shot the most efficiently he has ever shot the ball and probably had his best ever stretch he has ever had playing with Harden last season. He will revert to his brick city mode again

Ok lol. Game thread after the loss to the Magic and a thread on the GB about his worthless triple doubles.

This comment from the creator of their game day thread for today makes me excited to see what Wall can do. Different posters keep tossing out that he is a pure pg and I like the sound of that.

“While Westbrook has had two triple doubles, he isn't the floor general or pure PG we got used to from John Wall's play. Westbrook's defense has been trash... not Isaiah Thomas trash of course.”

He was the problem I watched the entire game. He had everything on his shoulders had the have the ball in his hands every posession and he's not efficient. +/- does not tell the stroy of the game. The wiz actually looked better without him last year.

Russ playing well last couple games actually, I'll give him that. With said, his overall numbers are still terrible, and his team is 0-5 in the East.

He's been putting up numbers for the "triple doubles are all that matters" types, but his efficiency has been trash, even by Westbrook standards....which are some of the lowest standards there are.

He's also been turning the ball over too much, even by Westbrook standards....which says a lot given that he's already top 10 all time in turnovers in NBA history (he'll likely be just outside the top 5 by the end of this season and he's a lock to be top 3 by the end of his current contract unless he suffers a major injury)

There's a solid argument that thus far this season he's playing by far the worst he has in his entire career on both sides of the ball.

Russ so far is averaging 20 points on 47% TS...he has a 97 offensive rating

but hey, he’s averaging a triple double again

this is the guy some on CF say we needed to give the ball to more while he was here o_O:confused:

    Where are they now?

It like Russell Westbrook has a Fantasy Team and he wants to Draft himself.

    Plus selling shoes

Maybe he tries to break the Triple Double Record is more important than Team Wins or caring about including Teammates in Plays.

He is not only averaging a triple double, he had a triple double for every single game he played this season. Basically he took this triple double thing to another level, averaging 11.3 DRB per game so far, while successfully decreasing Thomas Bryant's DRB/36 minutes by over 40%. It's just amazing to me how every center he played with (maybe except Capela) is willing to sacrifice their rebound stats to help Russ pad his. I get it for Adams, but Bryant, really? Over 40% of your defensive rebounds just to make a new teammate happy?

Ish Smith is a better PG than Russell Westbrook. JJ Barea. Pablo Prigioni... Rafer Alston... Take your pick.

Anyone that can dribble without punting the ball or pass without hitting a fan is better. Much less the shooting.

wizards are in tank mode for the #1 pick, why you think they traded Wall, they probably felt he would make them win more. I expect Beal to force a trade out of there soon. There not that same team that had Ariza w/ Gortat, those days are gone. They have the ultimate triple douber tanker machine now, it will be his his team.

Tank mode nah. A team like okc who obviously let all there pieces go is in tank mode. Washington spent and are trying to win games. The problem is they actually just suck and can’t win. There’s a difference
