When is Clutch going to start the Lotto Race 2002 feature? There are only 15 games left, and we are tied for 5th place.

Jeff,

I think he can shoot in games and is quick enough, I just think he lacks confidence and playing time.

Look at TMO now as opposed to the first of the year, a much different player.

Langhi has never gotten that opportunity.

I think Langhi will be a good player in the league...at least a decent role player if not a starter.

The problem with Langhi is that he NEEDS touches on the ball to be successful, and our guards don't give touches to anyone on the team unless they are in trouble.

This team has the most selfish ME first attitude I have ever seen, there are cliques galore on the squad, and until they all play as a team and not just a "get your buddy the ball" style of game, it will go nowhere.

Dan Langhi had career highs in rebounds, steals, and FGA, and the second most FGM and points. Of course, it wasn't a great accomplishment in FG%.

From 2-pt range Tmo is 65-148 (43.9%). If you take away his awful start he'd be shooting close to 50% from inside the arc, which is really pretty good for a rookie. I think he IS a good rebounder (esp. for an SF), and that he'll learn to defend better. I don't think it's lack of athleticism that results in his getting beat, but rather lack of experience guarding players on the perimeter. He can defend smaller PFs pretty well right now. He also passes and blocks shots pretty well, and if he could just get a decent % from behind the arc he could really be a solid contributor on a playoff team.

It was up this morning...

Now that was funny.

I think Rudy is being smart here. He's not trying to lose.... "tank" is probably the most misused word. But I don't think winning should be a priority (i.e. Francis and Mobley shouldn't be near 48 minutes a game) .... the development of other players is. Getting Collier and Langhi PT extended PT is very, very smart. If the game came down to the wire, it's not like Rudy T isn't going to go for the win.

On the other hand, I may be giving him too much credit because Griffin is hurt and this was a big loss.... someone had to play.

One thing I noticed about Langhi last night was that most time, he received the ball in an iso situation. Boy, do I hate that. He definately hasn't had the opportunity to play to get his confidence, and I don't think he is a super iso player. Most people benefit by having some plays run that gets them some easy buckets to get their confidence up.
Langhi is out there naked, basically. There was one play where he came off a screen up top. He caught the ball in rythym and hit the jumper at the top of the key. He had a couple other shots that were in and out. He is not that far away from scoring consistently, but he does need time to get comfortable. He did miss some kick outs where he was pretty open, but again, you have to be feeling comfortable to just catch and shoot.

If Rudy continues to give him the minutes like the last couple of games, I think by the end of the season, we'll have a much better idea about his capablilities. I thought his defense was better than average for this team. He stayed with his man well, except when screened. I think his length was a factor on defense. He was guarding Turkoglu most of the time. Maybe Turk just had a bad game, but he certainly wasn't lighting up Langhi.

The other thing was that he seemed more active inside, which resulted in his 7 boards. Again, on this team, that's better than average.
