NBA.com and NBATV have really dropped off this year. The only positive addition was adding Gary Payton (but only because he's crazy/hilarious). They need to get rid of Andre Aldridge, bring back the daily fantasy program with occasional host Mike Yam (once a week isn't enough), and find someone who doesn't sound like a tool when you watch the highlights online. Also, I'm getting sick of watching the Lakers every Tuesday on fan night.
It's definitely not THE movie trailer guy -- that guy (Don LaFontaine, who did the GEICO ads) died two months ago. Sure sounds like some other movie trailer guy, though. Ever since ESPN arrived on the scene, sports highlights just don't sound right unless they're dripping with sarcasm and detached irony. Out here in LA, there's a guy named Jim Hill who does an old-school style sports broadcast. He's good at it and is really professional, but he's so boring I can't stand to watch him.<BR>
Here's the one from saturday night. A new guy again, but still isnt that good. i was laughing so hard on No.7 <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/f9LTONEWVnI&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/f9LTONEWVnI&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
