Probably a package of some hot garbage.

Down-town Devin Brown + Posey + Peja is probably what they're offering.

It's pretty much a guarantee that Paul's name isn't even being mentioned.

Who do you move in order to give him playing time, Landry or Scola?

You move neither of those players. If current Jazz, Carlos Boozer is traded to the Houston Rockets, he should be bound and tortured for the remainder of his contract. Same for Okur and Kirelenko as well.

    Has it actually been confirmed?

Someone said they hit a "snag" in the deal so they're putting it off for now.

If it does go through, they're probably going to offer us Bobby Brown instead.

    But it doesn't really matter.

Absolutely not. To get Chris Paul we'd have to give them too much. I don't want to part ways with Landry, Brooks, or Budinger (they would want two of them) for CP3.

They don't want scola, he is already 30 and Landry is younger and better, Battier is getting old and losing a step (31), the Rockets won't package Ariza because they just signed him and has the potential to be a tremendous piece for a championship team (in a role similar to that with the Lakers). Additionaly Ariza is 24, which is more incentive for Houston to keep him. Brooks would almost be a necessity, and I don't necessarily like Paul enough to give Brooks away (I think Deron is better than CP personally, and if he were involved I would do it). To get CP3, if I were the Hornets I would ask for McGrady, Brooks, and Landry.

In any deal with NO/for CP3, it's likely you're including McGrady and Brooks in the deal.

For Paul it would take two things...

Rockets would need to give up Landry, Brooks and TMAC(Maybe More)

Rockets would need to take back in addition to Paul, Peja and Posey(2 Bad Contracts)

It would be costly but Paul would inject the franchise would a shot of adrenaline.

If a trade were to go down, I could maybe see NO do something like this.

    Paul + Posey + Stojakavic

    for

    TMac + Brooks + Landry + Cook

New Orleans is looking for cap relief. This helps them get out of a few bad contracts. Then they could trade with the Kings and do Okafor for Thomas.

I can tell you that Paul is the highest "goal" get with the McGrady contract. Of course you have to throw in some pieces and take back some excessive contracts but there is a feeling that he is the premier point guard of the league and if they could get him, they would.

I cannot imagine such a scenario, where the core of this team of overachievers is exploded, in order to acquire Paul. This is not in line with everything that Adelman and Morey have been indicating.
