i'll tell you what gets me excited, it's when you say libs. maybe it's just the way you say it, but if you don't watch out you are going to be responsible for a leak.
That's a common misconception, but no. If Bush and Cheney die in a plane crash or something then Hastert becomes president. I guess maybe if Bush is impeached and the news of it gives Cheney a heart attack before he can take office it might be Hastert. Barring those unlikely scenarios, if Bush is impeached Cheney becomes prez and appoints a new VP. If Cheney is impeached after that, the new VP becomes prez. Likewise, if Cheney's impeached Bush names a new veep. Bush and Cheney can't be simultaneously impeached so either way a new VP would be named. The line of succession beyond the president and vice president only exists in the case that neither the president nor the vice president are able to perform their duties before a new VP is in place. That's also why one of the president's cabinet members always stays away from the State of the Union, as it's one of the few times that most in the line of succession are in the same place at the same time.
