uh...you kinda get a head start on it when you start that 2 year stretch with a 2-14 record, swoly...coupled with an 0-2 start in the second leg of that journey. it takes a really special team to suck that bad.

The injury was purely accidental. The severity happend due to Spencer being planted and fighting off the linemen and Dane hitting his leg as he tried to run through. I am glad it is just a broken bone and not a tendon or ligament injury as that would have been much worse.

Somehow this is all Bud Adams fault...

Yeah, but who else can suck like we do?

Take a team lacking in so many areas, and give it the good ol' Texans' know-how, and well...

    We could be legends.

The Oilers and Tampa Bay both had a 2 year stretch of 2-26.

The Oilers also had a 3 year stretch of:

    1-8 (strike season)
    3-13
    2-14

Maybe we can sell our team to LA and then just take the Saints.

That way, everyone is happy. LA has a team. Houston has a team. Houston has Bush. Many former New Orleans residents living in Houston can still root on the Saints.

i pulled this from our site:
    and this:
the texans are, however, the least successful expansion franchise since the 1970 NFL/AFL merger. even the bucs, who lost their first 26 games in franchise history, had a winning record and were in the playoffs by year 4.

tampa, seattle, jacksonville, carolina and the rebooted browns were all over .500 within four years with the bucs, jags, panthers and browns all in the playoffs within the same time period.

What the Texans need is a Larry Moriarty type player. ;)

This more than anything else illustrates complete incompetence and ineptness of the Caper-Casserly-McNair regime. They were blessed with the keys to the kingdom: expansion draft, extra draft picks, no salary cap and yet after 4 years, this franchise is forced to start over from scratch.

Scratch? Does that mean we release Mario? 4 of the 22 starters are rookies at the start of the season. Not what I call "starting over".

we started five rookies against the eagles. in total, 9 of the 22 starters weren't even on the team last year, including 6 on offense.

my guess is that of those other 13... anywhere from 5-7 of them will be gone next year. probably closer to 10.
