Dick Grayson was the first Robin. When he grew up, he left Batman and became Nightwing and fights crime in another city. The next Robin was a kid named Jason Todd. He didn't always listen to Batman, would jump head first into fights and what not. Comic fans didn't like him, so DC comics had a vote and people voted for him to be killed off. So, the Joker kills him. Then there's the third Robin, Tim Drake, who I believe became Robin because on his own, he figured out Bruce Wayne was Batman. Unlike the previous Robins, he still has a family, so fighting crime isn't personal to him.
I thought it looked great, and I agree. This is the kind of direction comic book movies (especially DC) could and should be going.
Green Lantern looked silly but otherwise I thought it was awesome. Robin, Superman and Wonder Woman looked great. Didn't get a good look at Batgirl, but I loved that they implied Robin and Batgirl were married (Barbara is Batgirl's secret ID). As for the adult Robin vs. Nightwing thing, I never liked that he changed names and costumes. In earlier DC history there were parallel earths. On one of them, the original versions of all the superheroes we know now, the ones from the Golden Age (late 30's, 40s) had grown older, Batman and Catwoman had married and had a daughter (The Huntress), and there was an adult Robin with a modified Robin costume. Way cooler than Nightwing for my money.
All this movie did for me was confirm my suspicion that Bruce Cambell could play a damned good Superman.
bruce campbell has started to show his age. in spidey 2 you can see he's beginning to put on fat around his neck and jaw. he's going to age dramatically in the next few years.
I'd pay money to see this movie over Cat Women and the last 3 Batman movies, though it's not saying much.
