Vice President Cheney and his chief of staff, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, overruling advice from some White House political staffers and lawyers, decided to withhold crucial documents from the Senate Intelligence Committee in 2004 when the panel was investigating the use of pre-war intelligence that erroneously concluded Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, according to Bush administration and congressional sources. 2004? Wasn't that an election year? Coincidence? Scott McClellan said Cheney has always been honest with the American people But Cheney lies to Congress!!!
They held back papers, and yet when we some use the excuse that Democrats only voted for military authorization because they were lied to we've heard people say that Kerry was on the intel committee and access to all the same intel. Apparently that wasn't the case.
