Not when the person you're on the ticket with is a 72 year old cancer survivor.

You don't think Cheney had a major impact on the Bush administration?

You're not actually insinuating that Dick Cheney was irrelevant during the tenure of the Bush administration, are you?

No. But they aren't the focus like they (Palin) are now.

McCain has said that Palin's focus will be on energy.

Isn't that what Cheney's gig was? I mean it was him and his oil buddies that secretly set US energy policy

Do we expect him to survive to 76, or how about a 2nd term to 80? Oh please no! Not Sarah Palin! I'd even take Cheney and Bush over her.

Al-Qaida-linked Web site backs McCain as president

By PAMELA HESS, Associated Press Writer Pamela Hess, Associated Press Writer – Tue Oct 21, 11:41 pm ET

WASHINGTON – Al-Qaida supporters suggested in a Web site message this week they would welcome a pre-election terror attack on the U.S. as a way to usher in a McCain presidency.

The message, posted Monday on the password-protected al-Hesbah Web site, said if al-Qaida wants to exhaust the United States militarily and economically, "impetuous" Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain is the better choice because he is more likely to continue the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"This requires presence of an impetuous American leader such as McCain, who pledged to continue the war till the last American soldier," the message said. "Then, al-Qaida will have to support McCain in the coming elections so that he continues the failing march of his predecessor, Bush."

SITE Intelligence Group, based in Bethesda, Md., monitors the Web site and translated the message.

And pretty much 99% of the free world and the majority of the citizens of nations in the Middle East (innocent people not part of the extremist groups) strongly prefer Obama over McCain. Terrorist groups lured us with 9-11, and want to prolong this war as long as they can. The longer we fight this war, the more enemies we create, and they feed off this- literally.
