How long does Miceli have to suck before they stop using him as the #2 guy in the bullpen?

But then again, what are the options?

Bullpen falls apart and Ensberg is still one dumb S.O.B.

    Weathers, Oliver, Bullinger, Harville :)

not too many options available unfortunately. The starters need to pick up the slack and once again Pettitte could only get through 5 innings before leaving with more "elbow discomfort".

Just need to win the next 3..

We knew the dbacks couldn't continue this losing streak forever...

I'll wait to see how long Andy is out for before I say they are finished, but if its an injury that causes him to miss some time then we may be done

Okay, the Astros gotta win out until the deadline, or I fear this team is gonna be broken up. C'mon guys, just prove to all the fans that you don't suck that bad and that you can go on a 4-5 game winning streak just once!

"Alright guys, you won a game yesterday. You win one today, that's two in a row! You win one tomorrow, that's a winning streak. It has happened before."

--Lou Brown, Manager of the Cleveland Indians (the ones with Ricky Vaughn, Willie Mays Hays, Pedro Cerrano, etc.)

This is the type of loss that make me lose faith in this team. You lose to the weakest team in the league who happen to be on a 14 game lose streak. Come on guys, you need these games.

If that "Beltran thread" is true I don't think I will watch another Stros game this year because he is about the only exciting everyday player on the team.

You know, it's ok if you don't put an exclamation mark at the end of every sentence you type...

MAN is so hard to watch BAGWELL play now ... He's prob the last guy beside Ausmus/pitcher that I would want up now with runner in scoring position.

Can't we sign Beltran since Kent is not coming back, already traded Hidalgo and Bagwell is expected to retired after 05'.
I know Burke is going to replace Kent and Lane might play more next year but come on ... without Beltran our only DEEP BALL player is BERKMAN!

I love how on the astros.com message boards, Yankees fans constantly came over and warned us about Andy's elbow.

"He wasn't given a good offer because management is worried about his arm."

"You guys are getting damaged goods with Pettitte."

No one cared, at the time. We had just signed Andy Pettitte, for Christ's sake! A very good move to make if you wanted to lure Clemens out of retirement.

How many starts has Andy made this season?

How many starts has he finished without an injury?

How many starts has he missed due to injury?

When he's good, he's good. But he's not pitching enough to be good.

How did Astros management miss this so completely?
