Looking more and more like a bad signing. Rockets bubbled wrapped him too like Steven Adams, it was a gamble that hasn't paid off. The good news is we can probably package his contract to get a star player in the off-season.
I’m dying at yall thinking we got a steal. Lakers traded for him, saw he was cooked and let him go. Was that not a major red flag? He’s never been nothing more than a Luka merchant and even then he was overrated.
At this point we should treat DFS as trade salary until further notice. DFS and Clint for Dennis Schröder and Keon Ellis is looking more likely. Will probably have to give up a 1st.
I think DFS would look better if the Rockets had a different makeup. The guy is suppose to be a poor-man's Shane Battier who does all the little stuff. Yeah put him next to Luka who doesn't play defense and takes all the shots and that's a perfect match. But this team needs more creators and those who have some level of threat on offense. So he's just a bad fit especially when we also lack Sengun. I'm not so much down on him as I am just wondering if this kind of team building can work. Or if we need to get some more offensive minded players at the deadline that opposing defenses actually care to guard.

I think Stone just thought DFS was better than NAW. And technically NAW makes the full MLE which we didnt have. Personally if I knew NAW was available he should have been the no 1 target, dude had great defense on SGA. If we got NAW instead of DFS Rox would be 2nd seed by now not 6th.
DFS right now is a major F. A step slow and cant even make open layups while bricking his 3. However I am also reminded of Adams who spent half the season looking like a total scrub before rounding into shape and beasting out. Hopefully DFS is the same.
