You could also have picked Little Bighorn or Bataan, among others

Some of us wanted more guard depth instead of another forward .... I mean, how many forwards can you play at once?

    The 5 forward lineup?
    Amen
    KD
    Jabari
    DFS
    Tari

And you still have Tate & Green on the bench.

All while the two best guards on the roster are Reed and Okogie.

Not knocking DFS, he's a very good defensive player and has a decent 3 point shot .... Still feel that money was better spent on a guard - even before FVV was lost for the season.

That lineup has a +50.0 net rating. At this time I decline to comment on the sample size.

Could’ve gotten NAW instead of capela and okogie

I think we can judge before the playoffs since they play for the whole season not just the playoffs

Which guard? You can't just say we need "X" and then dont even know who we should have gotten instead.

The only other mid level guy that was a better deal than DFS was NAW. And technically we couldnt even afford NAW since we only have 14.1M available.

Assuming we didnt know FVV was gonna be gone for the season DFS was the correct signing (or NAW who IMO wouldve been perfect) since we needed Tari insurance. You said it, we have Reed and Okogie as guards not to mention Aaron Holiday. So that would be 4 guards including FVV. Meanwhile who we have backing up Tari? JSean Tate? lol.

Jabari, KD dont really fill Tari's role as a 3nD specialist who will chase guards and wings, KD is old and Jabari is more of a big man. Amen became our starting pg so even his role changed.

I like how with DFS Ime is experimenting a bit with some 5-out type stuff.

Loved when I saw the lane completely cleared for Amen to go 1-on-1 a couple of games ago. I've always liked the potential of Jabari as a small-ball 5 for 10 minutes a game.

Well he missed the first quarter of the season and upon return hasn't helped our stars to get more rest (KD just played 36 minutes against the tanking Nets minus their best player in a blowout). So no, he is not doing anything beyond what any clutchfans GM wannabe could have signed in the offseason with the Rockets full MLE at their disposal to this point.

So yeah if he's just giving you generic backup wing minutes in the regular season, then he is definitely not "underrated" as the 2nd highest paid FA that switched teams

Highly underrated acquisition. Silly to even take seriously his first ten games when he's so rusty and has no chemistry with the team. Talk to me after ten games to get in a rhythm.
