Cleveland didn't have a plan. They had LUCK. Boston tried the same "plan" a few years before Cleveland. They tanked their games while holding a pick from other crappy team. With both picks, they had something like a 50% chance of landing the top pick. Of course, the top pick went instead to the Spurs, who used it to take Tim Duncan.

i do not agree. Players change. I do not think the Eastern conferance is that much less then the west. It used to be. But i'm not sure the differance is so much, sur the west still is better. But the east has some good team also.

Like The Pistons, Heat, cavs, maybe the wizards.
The wizards also win games against west teams, they have a winning record against west teams.

Also some players and team play better after a couple of years. Look At the Sonics, they have the same team as last year, and then they sucked, not they are on top of the division.

Ray Allen was also out of commission for a lot last season as were a lot of their key players. They're all healthy now and that made the difference.

    D. Fish is way overpaid, but he's proved himself when he was with the Lakers. He's the definition of a good role player or complimentary player. He is a not a star, though. That being said, I think he would be a good fit with the Rockets because he plays tough D, can knock down a three, knows how to feed a big man, and is used to deferring to star players. That being said, his salary is an albatross around his neck.
