Btw there's a "source" saying that Dez was contacted first by Deion and was repeatedly contacted by him and someone with his party and kept denying the requests until he finally agreed to meet him.
I don't get it. The rule says NFL player, last time I checked Sanders wasn't in the NFL. I guess the rule is different then. Hopefully he gets reinstated... anytime after Saturday that is.
Boo hoo! Bush's mess wasn't discovered until he left USC. When the Mayo stuff came out, Mayo had already bailed and Floyd resigned. When OU discovered Bomar was being paid for no work he was declared ineligible and kicked off the team. What will OSU do? Nothing. He will be reinstated. This isn't about a free dinner which Dez could easily repay to a charity. It's about an agent using a former NFL player to recruit Dez. When Dez was asked about it, he panicked and lied. Boo hoo! Boo hoo!
Apparently he stayed with Deion, which is an "improper benefit." While a very minor infraction, Dez lied about when asked, therefore the ineligibility. Expect him to be reinstated in a few weeks.
First, Crabtree then Bryant. Can't Neon Deion just stay away from NFL-bound players for even a minute?
Just read on ESPN ticker that Dez Bryant was suspended for the Grambling game in September for lying to OkSt. However, OkSt. stated that Dez was out with a hamstring injury. Probably need more details but OkSt. could get in trouble if they knew about Dez lying and didn't report to NCAA. They could also get in trouble if they lied about why Dez was held out, similar to the Jets/Favre thing.
