I thought it was an interesting episode, if for no other reason than it felt different. Didn't deliver like I wanted it to though. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I felt like the Quinn/Deb "closure" scene was great. Maybe because I've dealt with a similar scenario lately.
Yea, I was hoping that they would stretch out Brian for a few more episodes. However it was majorly about the dark v. light issue. Not too bad if you ask me.
Surprised not much mentioning about how HOT Dexter's babysitter is. Aimee Garcia, OMG! Yes I will have that and then some.
They really need to chose a direction for this show. I had big expectations from the last episode, but it was bit of a letdown. I hope next year is really the last year for Dexter as they can't keep doing the same thing over and over again. Debra really needs to find out about Dexter quick.
Did anyone watch the last episode? Is Dexter being more of an a-hole towards Deb this season than in past seasons? If the professor is not real how is he triggered? How does he take over and kill people
The last episode is one of the few times in the past two years that is making me eagerly look forward to the next one. Very good episode! Turns out the professor might be real after all. Dexter is definitely being an a-hole to Debra no doubt. She has to get a clue sooner or later.
Couple things I've been thinking about - Spoiler Deb is about to make a huge mistake by not closing the call girl case. LaGuerta is obviously covering it up for Matthews. He was the one who killed the hooker. I'm not entirely sure Deb for certain won't get snuffed out by Doomsday, Rita was on the verge of figuring out Dexter's secret before she got snuffed. I don't think many people will see it coming. Even bigger theory - Matthews is somehow involved with the Doomsday. Either way I'm hoping somebody big gets killed. I think Angel might get shot and survive or some bull**** though. Quinn is a douche and I don't think I'd miss him. Would like to see more of Anderson because he seems cool and actually a good cop.
I'm not going to spoiler anything, because you shouldn't be reading this crap unless you caught up to date...but I really hope LaGuerta dies. The b**** is the biggest back stabbing hoe on the planet. As soon as LaGuerta started pushing Deb to close the hooker case I figured it had something to do with Matthews. He was on some madame's list right? I don't think he killed the hooker, but as Dex mentioned, he may have tried CPR which only made it worse and he probably high tailed it out of there.
Great episode tonight! Whoever called the Gellar twist, good call. It became pretty obvious throughout the episode it was coming to that. Also seems like Masuka has the worst luck with interns. Should have just kept the blonde.
im the one that called it. i thought it was too obvious by like the 3rd episode. and the cheap ways the writer made you think otherwise didn't change my opinion. if gellar didnt interact with another human other than hanks character, then he is imaginary. im glad it is over and done. Masuka's intern was the biggest surprise this episode. hopefully the season gets better towards the end.
Really terrible episode. Turns out the Nebraska episode was fool's gold, and now the season is back to sucking again. I'd like to think that most people saw the Gellar twist from a mile away, so taking 9 episodes to unveil it was totally unnecessary. Here's to hoping that Masuka's intern(s) have a huge surprise up their sleeve, and that Deb's shrink leads her down the path to truth about Dexter.
Next seasons should be good as it appears they are probably going to make it Debra vs. Dexter as the finale. I saw yesterday's episode and it played out exactly how I expected it to. The phone Dexter gave Hank is going to get back to him, I'm quite sure Debra will see his number and the show will end on that note. This years show has been very predictable, though I don't know where they are going with Masuka's intern. I'm quite sure though he is going to end up on Dexters table or Batista will gun him down.
At the moment Travis saw Gellar, Dexter was leaning back on the headrest with his eyes closed. As someone who was expecting the "Gellar is dead" twist, I've been particularly observant anytime he's on screen.
One thing I haven't liked about this season is how careless Dexter has been. No idea how he has made it through six seasons. Also, for being able to tell an entire novel based soley on blood splatter he is a pretty worthless detective. Why would he follow "Gellar" into a trap door under a heavy desk? He should have realized no one could possibly went down there.
On one thought Gellar actually did interact a little with some people when they would go out to the market from time to time. So it wasn't completely obvious. I actually never thought of it so it came by as a surprise.
