That is true, but I think they put him back on the path of the Code of Harry. That kill was a way of releasing his emotion as he said after the kill.
thats what most ppl unfortunately set their minds to what to expect for this season. i think the set up was trinity n dexter going at each other, n the result was the last episode of season 4. season 5 is the aftermath. problem is that season 4's finale was so good, ppl expect the same to be for season 5 on the get go, when in reality, they need to build up something new.
Just read that Julia Stiles will be on Dexter starting this Sunday...can't wait to see what her character will be.
Was it just me, or was this week's episode a let down? Feels like the show is losing the momentum they built up at the end of last season. I'm ready for the Kyle Butler storyline to heat up already.
I think it's slow because this season is a little different than the rest of them. The main story line is playing off of not only just the finale of season 4, but the whole season itself (with the whole Kyle Butler thing and Trinity's family getting involved). That could be why the momentum doesn't seem to be that steady. I think the slow build up is what's going to cause this release of energy in the form of an orgasm near the end of the season. I can feel it.
I too have been pretty disappointed with the season thus far. It seems like the season is stalling out. I hope it doesn't completely crash like Weeds.
Every season starts slow. I would not consider this a fast paced show. Everyoone b****es about every show on this site
I think Dexter is the best show on TV. Does that mean I can't be critical about it? Of course not, so what's your issue?
Everyone has a right to there own opinion weather you like it or not. Dexter is STILL the best show on tv we just expect a lot out of it.

Thought the end of the last episode was good.. I have no idea what's going to happen with the Julia Stiles character... they are going to fall in love and then he kills her? i mean, really, there's no plausible scenario in which she can be allowed to live...
This season is starting to pick up now. I'm hooked like always. Season 4 will probably still be my favorite. Quinn tracking down Dexter seems like the same plotline from season 2 or whatever so I'm not as interested in that, though it has a little suspense still.
