I agree. I think LaQuerta is cute [she looked better on NY Undercover] but . . .it was more interesting when ole boy was with the Vice Cop Chick [The chick from Beyond Gravity that Dexter killed a few episodes back was cute and sexy too] I don't get the point of them two hooking up anyway [Esp since Laguerta has been shown as kind of opportunistic when it comes to sexual relationships. Rocket River
Jeez, you are one shallow mofo...a quality human being. As far the show goes, I watched it for the first time on Monday, then went back and watched all the rest of the episodes for this season. I find it weird that nobody is catching on to the repeated deaths of the people that are being investigated (Dexter victims), they all go missing and nobody even questions it? If this is how its been in past seasons I wouldn't be interested in watching the show going forward.
I've been out of town, and I finally watched last week's episode. The small coffin was intriguing. I'm wondering if Trinity had an incestuous relationship with his sister and maybe got her pregnant. Maybe she was a foster\step\adopted sister. Perhaps that's what drove her to suicide and maybe the mom as well. The scene with Trinity in the bathtub holding the mirror up to look at this wife was exactly like vic #1 this season who is supposed to represent Trinity sister. I definitely think there was some sort of romantic tie there. Not sure how Trinity's dad fits into this. Perhaps he was Trinity's first victim. I think the Angel\LaGuerta relationship will serve multiple points. The primary focus this season is on the balance between Dexter's family and his Dark Passenger. LaGuerta and Angel provide an example of this. They chose their work over their personal relationship, but both seem unhappy with their choice. I also think at some point they will hook up again and possibly create problems for a case relating to Trinity or the Vacation Murders. I could definitely see Quinn's reporter girlfriend digging up the scoop on that. I'm curious to see how Dexter vs. Quinn plays out. Quinn is certainly dirty, so if he scopes out Dexter it's to cover his own ass. There could certainly be a stalemate if Quinn gets something on Dexter. I think Quinn does not survive the end of season 5, but he might just skate through this season. I'm very curious to see how Dexter deals with killing an innocent.
Good episode this week. Some interesting developments in the relationship between Dexter and Trinity, as well as Rita getting a wandering eye and LaGuerda and Batista getting back together.
Yeah. The season has really picked up IMO. The revelation about Debra and Lundy's shooter was also a nice curve ball.
I'd love it if she cheated on Dexter and he broke it off (or killed her). She is so incredibly annoying. My guess is that Dexter is going to have to end up killing Trinity in public for some reason, and everyone will know Dexter killed him but either look the other way or it will be self defense of some sort. Random opinion though; there's no evidence to back up this claim!
He doesn't focus on people that he's been personally involved in with their cases and he sometimes sets them up as leaving town for good like that lady cop who killed her family. Plus you need to watch season 2 or at least read a synopsis of it.
I'm curious what will happen there as well. If not for the baby, I would assume she'll cheat and they will go separate ways. Since they have the son together I'm thinking maybe she will not cheat but the neighbor will become a little too aggressive and Dexter will be forced to deal with him in a non-homicidal way. I also find her character annoying and a real nag. Considering she came from such a bad place and was so timid when he met her it's even more annoying now that she is such a pain in the a$$ ball and chain.
. . . Like he handled Quinn trying to be his friend. I like seeing Dexter handle people like that. I want to see more of the barely controlled 'dark passenger' dealing with people in the non-plastic way he normally does When people see his real face. . . it puts a bit of a fright into them. I think quinn got a shot of it .. . . I think dexter is seeing parts of it with Trinity Rocket River
I'm totally just not feeling this season. Hard to put my finger on why, but my guess is that Dexter isn't being immediately threatened: *Season 1, he's being called out by the Ice Truck Killer the entire time. *Season 2, the FBI and Miami Metro are both after him... and so is that nutjob Lilah chick. *Season 3, Miguel Prado and George King both get after him. *Season 4... ummmm... I feel like this season is maybe intellectually interesting... I just feel like it lacks the same tension and drama. It's had moments, like killing that guy and then falling asleep at the wheel, or almost getting caught by the neighborhood watch. I was just hoping they'd spend more time on the cat-and-mouse of Miami Metro trying to catch Trinity and Trinity trying to avoid being caught... but there's little of that, in favor of just showing off what a weirdo the guy is. I'm not made to feel that Dexter is threatened, Trinity is threatened, or even that Trinity is threatening anyone else anymore. I feel like the season should end next episode with the way things have played out. They better have a hell of a twist coming.
You know how Dexter killed that innocent guy? Well, they briefly mentioned his disappearance at the precinct and are going to try to find out what happened to him, so Dexter is being threatened a bit.
I just don't feel like anything is going to come of that as far as the department finding out is concerned. I don't see how they'd tie it to him. I'm fairly certain that the writers are only playing that kill from the angle that Dex feels guilty about it, not that he might get caught for it. Even if that were the case, it's only a severely watered-down version of what season 2 did, with the FBI and all of Miami Metro threatening him.
I guess you can categorize this as a random thought...not really tied to season 4 or anything...but how, in general, do you guys see the series ending? Part of me wants Dex to get away with it all, but part of me wants everyone to know, just so I can see their reactions. For the most part, everyone in Miami Metro thinks he's some wussy pushover blood splatter analyst geek.
This is exactly why I miss Doakes and Lundy so much. Both knew Dexter was somehow more than he pretends to be, though in different ways. Pretty much everyone else besides maybe Quinn thinks he's a pushover, and that's a boring dynamic.
I never bought the thought of Trinity shooting Lundy and Deb. I don't know how tall Anton is, but he was my first guess. Other than him, the only suspect we've been presented with is the Vacation Murderer and that seems a little too unlikely for this show.
His interations with Doakes. . . esp when he headbutted him then walked out of the office like nothing happened. . . WAS CLASSIC Dexter manipulating a situation I think we will see Trinity become a direct threat to Dexter Will Dexter back off once he knows Trinity DID NOT threaten Deb? I think 'Kyle' will be found out. I think Trinity and Dexter will HAVE TO be revealed to each other. [and not with trinity laying on the table] Rocket River
Lol. Calm down there Mr. Sensitive, it's just a TV show. This isn't exactly the debate and discussion.
