[Developing] Nancy Pelosi's husband violently beaten with hammer

Hitting someone in the head could kill someone. I dont think intent to kill is that wrong of a charge

 

At a minimum it is PC 245(a)(1) assault with a deadly weapon with an enhancement for causing great bodily injury. There is also the PC 459 in the first degree for residential burglary with a person present. Arguably there is an attempted kidnapping as well. I don't think it is tough to sell attempted murder when you hit someone in the head with a hammer so hard that they need surgery though.

80 year old man caught a fat man breaking into his home with a hammer demanding to see Nanci Pelosi. His response to defuse or deescalate the situation is more realistic than these armchair analysts. That changed when the cops showed up at the door.

 

Then Paul Pelosi probably would've been shot by the cops. Charging at cops is almost never a good idea.

Possibly but this is an 80 year old man. We saw how fast the attacker swings the hammer once Pelosi let's go. As soon as he lets go over the hammer no matter which direction he goes he's likely going to be hit.

Anyway watched the whole video and it looks exactly as it was described initially.

And why did we need to actually see that video? What value does that provide the public? The way that it was described in the affidavit was accurate as any judge or jury could have attested.
