Good point. Players often say that they pay little attention to what is written about them in the press.
I don't see what my Sooners have to do with this. However, I'll be the first one to admit that the Sooners showed zero heart against WVU. It was just sad. It's a reoccuring problem that must be addressed. Anyway back to the topic at hand, Turkoglu has been excellent so far this season. To plug him back into Adelman's system would only help him. He's a team player and would be a great fit. Of course, I am of the opinion that Tracy will never adjust to the system. If he doesn't, I think most will agree that we will struggle. If we got Turkoglu on his bargain contract with some expirings to go along with him, we would have all kinds of flexibility down the line. Something like this with a pick or 2 thrown in from Orlando... http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...7~532&teams=10~10~10~10~10~19~19~19&te=&cash= With this trade we would turn about 26-27 mill dollars worth of contracts into about 9 mill for next year. This would give us the ability to re-sign Bonzi and/or make a run at some free agents. With all that said, I wouldn't be surprised if Orlando laughed at the offer given T-Mac's health and questionable desire.
T-mac is all about self preservation. Whether its wimping out on the court or how to maintain his endorsement dollars. I wouldn't put it past him if he worries more about not getting face time on Adidas's commercials than playing for the Rockets bye bye t-wack.
ESPN insider had something on it as well, I'm sure there's something to it since different outlets have picked up on it. Also I don't think McGrady would want this to be a public affair, I'm assuming he'd keep it in house since he'd be painted as the bad guy. Anyway I say trade his a$$ to Atlanta.
Thank you. At least someone out there isn't buying this crap. Some of you guys still haven't learned to stop doubting Tmac. How many times have people counted him out only to see him bounce back from whatever problem or supposed problem there was. When we start tearing up the league these next couple of weeks and get to 30 wins by the all star break with Tmac being a huge part of that, what will all of you be saying then? I knew Tmac would bounce back, blah blah. All of you who believe this mess and believe he is "faking an injury" need to go read the tabloids if you want drama because you won't find it on this Rocket's team. You all keep expecting some drama to occur almost like you want it to or something. If you find yourself cheering on Tmac when he gets back then you are a hypocrite. I would change your stance now while you still can get back on the bandwagon.
As a lazy man myself, I think McGrady doesn't have to say anything. Only if teammates and the organization are wondering would he need to address it. Or if directly asked by a reporter does he need to respond. It wouldnt surprise me if the rumors are true. I'll still withhold judgment saying it is though...It always juuuuust so happens after these rumors that writers start talking about trade scenarios involving their own teams...
the ESPN insider stuff is usually just repost of other papers stories, in all likelyhood it the original Chicago sam smith article
Wow, I’m shocked at how fast rumors can spread in the internet age. Well, maybe not with high schoolers….but surely with adults….
didn't see it, but i'm guessing it'll just quote the detroit article or something if it's from yesterday or today..
I don't believe this...T-mac looked pretty happy on the bench watching the rockets win. I don't think that he wants to be traded and once we start a winning streak he'll changehis mind
I don't mind trading McGrady......but Hedo Turkeyglue is a career choker.....he airballed and clanked so many big shots as a king that I would never want him on this team.....no way!!
with all these reports coming out there has to be some truth to it...i don't know how much but there has to be something there
