FYI, I believe "half man, half a season" was coined by Barkley in reference to Vince Carter.

I think TMAc has to come out and clear the rumors the same way the ROX did early in the season.

I hope they bench him if he said such a think or even trade him to a crappy team that will never be competitive in the next 10 years.

Either way, It's kind of dumb to see all these articles come out, especially if none of them come from Chron or anything else around here.

I'm not hating on Tmac. If this is BS then I want Tmac to call them out on it. For him to talk about how great it would be to play with D. Howard only fuels this kind of speculation. I hope this is all BS and it probably is.

Why does he or any other player have to come out and clear their name on some lie these outside papers dont even have something as simple as a quote on?

It's irresponsible journalism that only the simple minded and blood seekers are sucking up.

No other major news agency is making a deal out of this, neither is the team. You know the media lies, its not a secret, and to do what you imply we'd have athletes on tv every freaking day trying to explain themselves for some lie.

It's another classic case of this generation. What have you done for me lately and kick the one thats down. I understand expectations or goals not being met but some of this stuff is outright silly and the immaturity follows it.

I'll believe when I hear it from the chron or anything here in Houston, except for Richard Justice. That guy will write anything to get noteriety.

I think all those writers want T-Mac for their teams.

A reporter asked him a question about playing with Howard in Orlando, and he answered. Yeah, so T-Mac isn't exactly a great politician when it comes to public speaking (Lord knows we've heard enough people whine about that for months), but it doesn't change the fact that everyone just wants to hate on him. It's the same way people hated on JVG last year, and then started to cry over spilled milk this year when they finally realized how valuable he was. It really is disgusting -- like someone said earlier, for some joke Sheed & co. were cracking in their locker room to cause our own so-called fans to spew hate on our best player instead of rising to his defense.

I think they come up with these stories because the Rox were expected to dominate and are struggling. Just a bunch of writers trying to spread a rumor. Their sources are always "some people" or "some players". When you hear Ric Bucher talk about a rumor, he always says that he talked to "some people close to" or players in the locker room." They have to come up with better sources if you're going spread a story like that.

Look Morey has come out and said " We are not shopping Tmac", I am sure the organization would appreciate Tmac coming out and saying "This is ridiculous, Houston is my team, and I am here to stay"

Until he does, these rumors etc sure keep popping up and where there is smoke there is usually fire.

Well, maybe next time Feigen talks to him he can clear things up, but it seems from reading the blog that he doesn't feel the need to.

As far as "smoke, fire," please. Sam Smith created a rumor b/c he wants to spark interest in the Bulls who are nosediving into the lottery.

T-Mac has always said he wants to retire a Rocket. It'd be two-faced of him to change his mind.

Amazing how a few people can make up some claims and then all of a sudden the onus is on the accused to disprove it, rather than the some kind of actualy credibility being needed by the writers who created the "rumor" to begin with?!

It's like a few people on blog pages start to claim that yao likes to bang goats. If a couple writers start saying he is a goat F-er...would we expect a statement by the rockets and yao, that he is in fact, not a goat F-er?!

sorry, but i doubt the rockets, morey and tmac have time to disspell every stupid rumor made up on the internet and hack writers bobbing for apples

It's not picked up on major outlets, and no one is even asking t-mac these questions, has it ever occured to you that maybe, just maybe, T-mac isn't even aware of these "rumors"?

And, if he does want out - so what? For starters, he's finished as an All-Star participant.

If he wants out - so what, unless Morey does a 'dump' deal. Maybe MJ wants him, is TMac's answer for true greatness, then - JRich and Okafor perhaps? Maybe Clips want 'their KB24' and a healthy Brand and Magette head here?

If he wants to be here - all's good. Just play WINNING hoops as TMac is eminently capable of doing.

Just, again, no 'dumps' please - some of us still upchuck at the Finnish superstar's (sic) mention...

Someone needs to ask him directly about it for him to respond. Players shouldn't be expected to comment on unsubstantiated rumors on their own.

True That! He doesn't need to come out and clear his name over some stupid rumors by writers who are hundreds of miles away from here.

Usually, where there's smoke, there's fire.

I would venture to guess there is some truth, although potentially minimal, that McGrady is has left the honeymoon phase with the Rockets, and is feeling the mounting pressure to win based on expectations.

McGrady strikes me as that employee that becomes disenfranchised quickly with his employer when things aren't exactly going well. He is supposed to be the leader, the cornerstone, the accountable one. Knowing this, he'd rather voice displeasure with the team, deflect blame, and bolt for seemingly greener pastures.

    But that's just my opinion.....

I don't think Tracy wants to leave and shouldn't leave. If we get better without him, imagine how good it would be for us when he comes back. He can go into that scoring role he was supposed to be in now that Rafer isn't struggling anymore and AB is more confident. Alley oops and cuts off screens!

tmac to orlando aint gonna happen.

the trade would look something like hedo, rashard for mac, hayes, head... not gonna happen while morey is the gm.
