[Detroit News] Battier dreams of finishing career with Pistons

The guy actually said it.. One of the stupidest thing to say for a player.

 

?? Battier has been doing great things for the Rockets so far. I'm very happy with what he brings to the game night in and night out. He makes a great fit for what the rockets.

 

I'm sorry you had a terrible expereince in Detroit, but that should be no excuse to vocalize your ignorance so proudly. You're partially correct in saying some parts of downtown Detroit that aren't very nice. However, the greater Detroit metro area is actually very nice. "The Palace of Auburn Hills" is actually located in: Auburn Hills !!!

FYI: People just use "Detroit" loosely since very few people know any other city in Michigan. Saying "Auburn Hills," "Troy," and "Bloomfield Hills" means as much to people living in Texas as much as "Sugar Land" means to people living in Michigan.

 

Didn't Houston pass Detroit up in population a few years back? (Not saying thats a good thing, traffic obviously sucks b/c of this). I've never been to Detroit, but it sounds similar to Houston- big, boring, nasty air, and plenty of crime.
