My rationale disagrees. But, everything else in my body wants to see that whole team get their a__s kicked in the first round, even if it is the Jazz or Mavs. It make the media and refs look stupid to see one of their great annoited favorites to get their 64+ win team choke in the playoffs.
Now tell me that Kobe trusts his teammates. 49 points, it is PHENOMENAL, just unbelivable, but it doesn't matter as long as they are loosing. Once again, if Kobe scores a lot, the Lakers usually lose. Look at this. Kobe 49, Gasol 30 and what? Fisher 1 fg made, Odom and Walton - 2. Kobe and Gasol vs. Phoenix.... Big props to Shaq. This guy is rolling.
Lakers don't lose because of Kobe's scoring.. It's the defense thats killing us. Can't expect much from T-mac fans though.
If there were any questions about whether Allen Iverson is currently a net positive or negative to a team, those are slowly being answered. After the team goes through a horrible stretch the last several weeks, Iverson gets hurt and they get back-to-back wins at Orlando and at Boston.
