I THOUGHT it was funny the other night when the score at half time was like 70-53 and they asked odom what changed in the game and he said their defense....how can u say defense when u let a team score 53 points in a half..106 points is NOT good defense..... And if Lakers lose again, wow thats 2 in a row....starting to show they are beatable. And for Detroit to win today again, it shows they are better without iverson and he should be coming off the bench...Detroit is making a statement by beating 2 of the top 3 teams in the east saying dont count us out yet... Im going to feel sorry for Orlando if Detroit ends up the 6 seed and magic 3 cuz detroit has a mental advantage against orlando and always beats them.
apparently the refs need phoenix to build up a lead or something. lakers getting no calls, phoenix getting all of them (how was barbosa fouled?). hell, amundsen kicks the ball out right in front of the ref and they call it out on LA. but the lakers did just meltdown after taking the lead. giving up breakaways and layups like crazy.
apparently if you're a laker and aren't named kobe or pau you completely suck. can you give up another breakaway maybe? not finish another drive? brick another open 3? commit another stupid foul?
i take a 2 minute shower and the lakers somehow go on an 11-3 run and i start watching again and they become inexcusably stupid right after. a 24 second violation, farmar with the worst pass ever on a fastbreak that leads to a layup, and now letting shaq grab his own free throw rebound (whatever happened to getting a violation for leaning over the line while shooting?) and dunk it back. edit: refs still rolling with that odom foul out.
Lol at JVG talking about the Lakers interior defense. If we have any shot to beat the Lakers, its when they don't have Bynum.
The Lakers are going to get upset...watch come playoff time someone is going to upset them. Their defense is not that good at all, and Kobe still thinks he can beat teams by himself. Couple that with the ultimate softness of Gasol and Odom... I know what they did without Bynum last season, but this ain't last season.
Man I hate to admit this but I'd take Shaq over Yao in a playoff series anyday. Can't wait till the Shogun Master meets Yao again on Thurs.
