    Jay2750-
I am a Houston resdident, and my taxes paid for that stadium. I am doing some consulting work in the north east at the moment, but I pay Houston taxes, and have no idea what the hell you are talking about. Don't talk out your ass about stuff you don't know about.

I have yet to attend a Toyota Center game. Is it really that hard to move down?

I always did it at the Compaq Center. I even made it on the floor behind Bill and Calvin for Barkley's last game.

    Good times.

Listen chief, I clearly stated that I wasn't the expert and Jeff would know more...but, as far as I could remember, the stadium was built through the Houston Harris County Sports Authority's existing hotel occupancy and car rental taxes. Which means both no increase in taxes AND no taxes you yourself directly pay that often, unless you are renting cars or staying in hotels frequently.

That said, I could be wrong, and maybe those taxes were increased. The key is, if it was those type of taxes, then you aren't DIRECTLY being taxed. But, as I clearly mentioned, Jeff knows a lot more.

On a different note, I went to the game on Monday. When the Toyota Center is full, the upper half is definitely more racaus. But, there was nobody in the upper bowl Monday either. So which is more pathetic, corporate clients paying thousands of dollars for season ticket packages and not going to boring weekday games, OR, thousands of cheap-ass tickets going unsold and then complaining about how no one shows up?

    Appologies to JayZ750,
I misunderstood what you were saying. No hard feelings.

The people that waste money on un-used tickets. That money could have been donated to a charity, or the tickets could have at least been donated to Mo's Betta Bunch.

If "Blue Collar Joe" doesnt want to pay hard earned money to see Jeff Van Grumpy ball against the last place "no star" Hornets, I cant blame him.

Or they could have given the money to you. This isn't a what could they have done with the money argument. It's a why aren't people showing up argument in which apparently white collar joe isn't showing up but blue collar joe is.

My point was simple: blue collar joe ain't showing up either.
