three weeks ago I tried the chicken tikka for the first time, it was amazing! that shrimp looks very good.
I don't eat Indian food that much, or at all. Kinda new to it. I need a nice Indian girl to eat dinner with. Thanks.
One of the major things Houston has over Austin.... Ethnic cuisine. I've become a HUGE Indian/SE Asian food fan and I would probably go mad in austin. You need to try London Sizzler next time you're in htown. London style Indian restaurant w an east African twist.
I know I'm in the minority, but I think the place is decent...nothing special. A little over priced. Himalaya, which is in the same strip center is my favorite.
Why would anyone want London style Indian food, when they can have real Indian food? London Sizzler is eh. I agree with Rockets03. Himalaya is much better and it's BYOB. Service kind of sucks, but the food doesn't.
Yeah, right... South Indian food will stink the house, then blow your ass apart as it makes its way through.... if cooked correctly, that is.
This is weird. Most South Indian food I've had is spicier than most North Indian food. Nothing my mom made was bland... I'd ask for a glass of water and that mess would be spicy as hell.
Meet with a small group of guys every Thursday for lunch. Third Thursday of the month is Indian food-- my favorite locale. Others are Thai, Greek and VietNamese. I am now officially hungry!
Indian food at restaurants is gross. They use to much spice. Indian food relies to much on spice than on the actual taste of the meat. For example, all the kebabs are heavily seasoned compared to a persian restaurant where the kebabs are lightly seasoned and use more of the natural juices of the meat. Himalaya is one of the worst indian restaurants I have been to. Although, I must admit that there haven't been many Indian restaurants I have been to that I say I would like. Beef is not a part of regular indian cooking. Beef is seen in Pakistani cooking. Those packet masala seasonings are horrible and really bad for you because they contain 40 percent sodium, msg, and yellow 5(makes your wiener smaller), among other bad stuff. This is what most restaurants use.
