I was going to say the same thing. Morey won't be able to find any justification for bringing him in and Stevenson can't hit the 3. If you can't hit the 3, you can't stretch the defense, which has been sorely lacking for Yao. He's like Rodrick Rhodes without the defense. No thanks.

Yes it does make us better. Why? Because we have the two best individual talents of that group. If we can surround them with solid role players, then Houston can roll with anybody. In the NBA, the team that has the best individual player wins 9x outta 10 ...and we got two. Just keep them healthy and find other guys to play defense and hit open shots. If we do that, we'll contend.

    Scene: the tinman household, 2006:

Tinman is relieved to be home after a hard days work. He immediately grabs the remote and hits play on the old CD Player - "I saw the sign, open up your eyes I saw the sign" Ouch, played out, he hits disk skip. Holy sh-t, I've got that CD by that new Sheryl Crow chick that I just picked up, might as well put it on, tinman thinks. -"All I wanna do, is have some fun." Much better. Time to check the old email. Tinman opens up windows 95 beta version, and clicks the yellow "Prodigy" icon and puts his 14.4 k's to work [phone dialing, static, beep whoosh beeeeep]!, now the old username K4566843@prodigy.net. Wow, if I forward this, BillGates gives me a check? Hot damn, tinman says. Immediately, RRT4532813@aol.com and GQ76392@compuserv.net get new messages.

Tinman logs off and flicks on the tube (it's a trinitron, baby). He remembers that he's got a couple of Seinfelds on the old VHS to watch, though he wishes they hadn't abandoned the "stand-up" bits sprinkled throught the episode; he quickly becomes preoccupied while thinking about Clinton's reelection chances, and then realizes he had made plans to see Shawshank Redemption at the local Cineplex later tonight.....(to be cont'd)

im tivo-ing game 7 vs the knicks. :p

maxwell was mentioned 2 years in a row.

this year: NBA Shootaround - Sam says Vernon called him to give him championship advice and encouragement

last year: Ron Artest suspension - They always have to mentioned that maxwell clocked some sucker in portland.
David Stern knew in his heart that Max was a good guy so he only got suspended a few games.
Ron Artest, a mean dude, got the whole season! lol!

    I say no-no on Stevenson.

Sure, he's athletic but he can't shoot and does not have a high basketball IQ. Jerry Sloan gave him every chance to thrive in Utah, what makes anyone think he'll thrive here?

WE could put our money to better use elsewhere.

    scene SamFisher household:

blasting through his Bose Speaker system is the sound of "You're beautiful, you're beautiful, its true..."
Fisher is busy on his MacBook reading Clutchfans and drinking his double latte from Starbucks. His wife yells out loud "honey, come help me out with the groceries". Fisher "Honey, I'm busy looking for summer polo shirts on GAP.COM". Fisher's wife "But honey, I got your favorite Organic Curry from Whole Foods"...."I saw your face..in an empty place..but I dont know what to do.."

For all the people saying Deshawn is a dumb player, what evidence do you have to show it? He was one of the primary reason why the Magic made their season ending run. At $4.2 million, what better options are there that you can reasonably expect to get. Charlotte is not trading Ely to you for that, they would just as soon sign him for that themselves. Radmonovic, who is probably a worse rebounder than Stevenson can't do anything but shoot and will get more than $4.2 million. Remember, it is a trade exception, so it is going to be hard to find a player to slot into it.

Maybe we could sign Dennis Rodman? Do you think the league would let him wear 666?
