In response to Lebron's comments about DeShawn: “I hope we play Cleveland. I’m going to get Soulja Boy courtside seats and have him wear a DeShawn Stevenson jersey. Maybe (James) can have Jay-Z there since LeBron’s all on his (shorts) anyway. And tell LeBron to cut that beard off and stop copying me.” - Stevenson http://blog.washingtonpost.com/wizardsinsider/2008/03/a_win_is_a_win.html
Really? I like DMX. He's not the best rapper but something about him just clicks. I think Jay-Z is overrated as a rapper, but he has a lot of influence elsewhere and that can't be denied. But yeah when a rapper dies their music goes WAY up. I still think Pac is best in the game. I have too many close 2nds, but Nas probably would top it all. But yeah LeBron is pretty funny with that statement. But DeShawn is funnier with that response. LOL tell LeBron to stop copying me. and saying LeBron is all on his shorts LOL i wonder what he really said.
Man, thats some funny stuff. I'm going with Deshawn on this one solely based on that one comment. Lebron is done, son!
Yeah, but that's like saying Kobe had an unspectacular rookie season. At the end of the day, he's still one of the best players in the league.
Lebrons only overrated because the media portrays him as the second coming of Jesus. End of the day he is one of the top 3 players in the league.
okay... if michael jordan = tupac then... kobe = snoop dogg then... lebron = soljaboy and stevenson = some ugly dude in the soljaboy video and the utah jazz team = michael jackson and jerry sloan = george w bush
I can understand why many people believe he is overrated. Aside from his monster stat line you still have to consider that he is in the East and on the Cavaliers as well. In my opinion he isn't a great player. Right now he is a very good player. Of course, he does have everything that it takes to become the best but he is far from that right now which is completely normal. In my opinion there are several levels of players in the NBA. 1. The best, most complete players: Kobe Bryant and Tracy McGrady. Yeah I know what you're thinking, at least at the latter. But I truly believe that these two sit alone on top of the league and the second group is a far second. When people say the "best basketball player" that can have several meanings. But to me the best basketball players are the ones who can do everything and do it all at an uncanny level. Both have two of the most smooth jumpshots that they use with range not being a factor. They can get to the hoop at any time whether by their quick first steps or crossovers. Amazing passing ability and vision. Blessed with physical stature and jumping ability. Exceptional open court speed. Lock-down defense (when they choose unfortunately). Both can take over the game at anytime when they impose their will. And one factor that I believe often gets overlooked far too much is experience. They've been in the league for over ten years now and it really shows when they match up against younger players. Their eyes light up at the chance to take the younger players to school and to me that seals the deal. 2. The elite but incomplete group. Like I said earlier, a far second, but this group is very talented and some may one day be at that ultimate level. -LeBron: 30, 8, 7? Wow. But to me you still have to consider team and conference. His game is improving exponentially but there are still some holes to his game: His jumphot- not as fluid and smooth as it should be, needs more finesse. Passing has gotten better but he'll occasionally miss a wide open teammate. Could work on pick and roll. Defense- has a tendency to take risks or get beat on the baseline. Free throws need to improve. Clutch situations- He exploited this last year when he had that 48 point game against Detroit in the playoffs but he still has occasional mental lapses. - Chris Paul: This year especially has shown just how good he is. Passing, shooting, speed, leadership, he has it all. Still young and inexperienced however and can somtimes be out of control. -Carmelo: More one-dimensional than anything and relies to much on his outside game. Doesn't use his size and post-up ability to his advantage. -Wade: Ever since his MVP performance in the Finals two years ago it has been hard to determine what he needs improvement on. Outside game for sure and he needs to learn to play a little more conservatively. -I'm probably missing someone but I'm pressed for time right now 3. The rest of the solid players -Josh Smith, etc....
i agree but i honestly think while tmac is above the #2, he is not on kobe's level, atleast not anymore
It just keeps getting better......... http://blog.cleveland.com/sports/2008/04/cavs_story_with_video.html http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dy...6/AR2008041603921.html?nav=rss_sports/wizards Deshawn is starting to become one of my favorite non rocket players!
