Texans got like 6 months before they should even start thinking about any trade offers for Watson.

But this is the Texans, who would be dumb enough to get rid of their franchise quarterback, that they've spent their entire existence looking for

None of those packages are appealing. We better net 3 picks this year and 3 picks next year and that is only a starting point. Anything less than that is a hard low ball offer. If the jets really want Deshaun then they better offer their second round pick and their third round pick from this year as well. However, I am still a fan of not trading Deshaun

Considering Deshaun hasn't officially requested a trade yet, I'm taking that as reason to believe that HE believes this can be salvaged. That being the case, at this point I would bring Deshaun in on every meeting, every discussion revolving around the head coach decision. If he doesn't want to be that involved, then so be it. But if he likes, he should be there for the interviews and for the discussions after the interviews. He should sign off on whatever decision. That is also the only way you can potentially hire someone other than Bienemy and not piss Deshaun off. They may have a good reason to go with someone else, and if that can be explained to Watson and he agrees, then you prevent another blow up in the media.

The problem is, I have no idea if Cal, Caserio or Easterby would be willing to do that. I would thinks Caserio would recognize it is absolutely in his best interest to keep Watson around, so hopefully he would push for it. He really needs to be the one taking the lead on all things at this point anyway. Get Easterby out of the discussions. Get Cal back to signing the checks and rubber stamping whatever, and let Caserio do his job. If he is good at his job (and despite the circumstances of his hire, he may very well be) then this can be fixed.

If Casserio is really good at his job... he shores up any leaks (negative or positive) from the team, he handles everything under the radar, and figures it out well before any tweets of speculation or "sources" say something.

I have seen some evidence of that already... nobody knew Eberfleus was going to interview till he did. And they now formally announced they're interviewing Bienemy early with NFL's permission, without needing John McLain or other speculative tweets whether or not they're going to reach out to him.

Maybe Cal and the rest of the pastors there would react agreeably to the "protesters" breaking into NRG with zip ties and a list of demands! You know kinda like the demo whom they've attached themselves at the hip with.

levity aside - these protests should be a weekly thing until Cal sells the team.

"If Jack doesnt have to go then we dont have to go!!!"

This is an unprecedented level of stupidity and incompetence from ownership. Never in NFL history has a QB this young, AFTER he has signed a huge extension, want out for no reason other than to get away from the sheer buffoonery and distrust of the organization.

Prescott's quarrel with Jones is money based. We've seen older QB's and ownership part ways after the team is ready to move on (Brady/Pats), we've seen prime QBs have disagreements with ownership but the organization is smart and knows how to patch things up (Rodgers/GB).

Cal does not know how this works. Teams will search, and draft, and trade, and sign, and do everything to get a franchise QB, often times taking decades to find one. How long have the Dolphins tried to find a replacement for Marino - they've had crap behind center for 20 years. I was a child the last time Vikings had a great QB, and that was one resurgent year out of Randall Cunningham. Remember the heap of crap the Cowboys rolled out between Aikman and Romo (Leaf, Hutchinson, Carter)? The goal is to get one, and when you finally, luckily do, you can contend for 10+ years. Seattle has had bad rosters with Wilson, but with him behind center they are always a good offseason away from being competitive. Texans are dookie, but with Watson, you always have a shot at a great team if the front office can get their head out their ass.

Cal must really want to go back to the Mallet, Hoyer, Fitzpatrick, Savage, Osweiler carousel again.

    He MUST fix this.

There is alot of bad information out there. Some people are making some stuff up in hopes of forcing a trade.

Yes, Watson is upset. How bad the situation is? We don’t know. We don’t know the communication level.

Every network is just repeating the same stuff over and over. “Looks like Deshaun has taken his last snap as a Texan”. With nothing to back that statement.

If you see "sources indicate", I think that means "this writer's opinion".
