It’s just a rehash of the Mortensen “conjecture” that was likely fed to him with some coaxing from Miami to see if Tua has a trade market. I don’t know how it counts as “news” when one website pretty much just piggybacks off another’s report... and that report was suspect or conjecture to begin with...
"Supposedly" the justification for this conjecture is the fact that both the GM and HC for Miami are both African American.
The Dolphins silence on the whole thing is making it pretty obvious where the “idea” is coming from... otherwise its pretty insensitive toward their supposed franchise QB to allow rumors to come out of nowhere or be perpetuated by the media.
You didn’t pay attention huh? Watson didn’t expect to pick the GM. Cal came to Watson and told him he would be involved in the process to select the GM and Coach and asked for a list. Watson spoke to his teammates and came up with a list. Cal blew off Watson and never contacted anyone on Watson’s list... Watson found out about the GM hire like everyone else. Cal screwed up, he blew off Watson... this is 100% on Cal. Watson never thought the Texans would hire his choice, but did expect his suggestions to be interviewed or at least reached by phone... instead Cal and the Good Reverend “prayed on it” and magically the guy that saves Easterby’s ass is the GM. It is more incompetence by an organization and owner that have a track record of incompetence.

So **** sad for our team...can everyone please tweet the Texans, nick caserio, and if cal has one then cal that easterby has to go and he has to take his blinders off
Just think of how dumb this has to be in order for it to be true. Cal decided to hire Omar, Omar told Cal he would fire Jack. They are negotiating a contract. Jack gets scared and tells Cal he doesn't want to get fired. Cal panics! He can't control Omar! Not knowing what to do in order to prevent a potential GM from firing Jack Easterby, Cal goes on to hire Nick Caserio to save him. Phew. Bullet dodged. The owner almost hired someone he had no authority over! This is just stupid.
Have to take it with a grain of salt. But Khans brother said Cals private jet was at Pittsburgh airport to pick up Khan when he got the call they were going another way.
https://cbssportsradio.radio.com/articles/moon-houston-texans-cannot-trade-deshaun-watson “This guy quietly had a year where he could have been an MVP candidate, but nobody knows about it because they haven’t won enough games,” Warren Moon said. “He’s had an outstanding season, and you just wouldn’t know about it.” “This is a guy who’s been a winner ever since he’s come into the league, and that’s all he wants to do is have a team that he can win with,” Moon said. “He wants the organization to be committed to that, and he wants to be involved in the process of making that happen. Hopefully they can get things worked out because this is a great young kid, he’s a young quarterback who still has his best years ahead of him, he’s great in the community there as well – he’s a guy that you want to have leading your football team, so hopefully they can work this out.” Moon’s advice to the Texans? Don’t trade Watson. “There’s probably three or four guys that are as good or better than him in the league right now,” Moon said. “He’s right up there with the best quarterbacks in the league, so you don’t let one of those get away because he can be with your franchise for the next 10 or 12 years. You want to make sure you have that type of guy in your organization.” Moon said that McNair needs to be honest with Watson and transparent about what has happened – and what will happen – as it relates to the hiring process and the product on the field. The mysterious Jack Easterby, meanwhile, should probably be part of this discussion. “From what I understand, he really has the owner’s ear and he makes a lot of the decisions around there,” Moon said. “So he’s somebody that I think should be in that room, in that meeting, to make sure that they’re all on the same page because of how much influence he has over Mr. McNair. He’s somebody you definitely have to worry about because he has a lot more power than you think.”
