But they've lost 3 in a row (all to teams in their conference) and Darnold looks like Jets Darnold. You have a legit defense, and you're really going to piss that away by sticking with an unproven Darnold? Crazy.

I don't make the trade this week. At the earliest I do it the day before or day of the deadline after week 8 games have been played. Last thing you want is to trade early and have Deshaun go nuts racking up 9-10 wins for the Dolphins. Then your picks aren't nearly as high. Dolphins play Atlanta and Buffalo next 2 games before the deadline. Also, if you wait for the deadline the Texans play Miami that week. Hopefully he isn't ready for that game and doesn't drop 500 yards and 7 touchdowns on us before racking up a bunch of wins to lessen the value of the picks. If it were my decision I would wait for the offseason unless someone makes a huge overpay offer before that.
I mean, he looked pretty darn great to start the season - at the very least, a capable game manager. Sucks he sucks now tho.

Miami is 1-5.... and they're about to trade most of their future draft picks... and Watson's extension kicks in next year that will take up a lot of the cap... and he may not even play pending further litigation. Ok.
