then **** the second rounders, give me all 4, half of them are likely to essentially be second rounders anyway. or, just tell Miami to **** off. It’s basically collusion at this point, and wait until next offseason. 5 new teams will present themselves then. Idgaf about getting him off the roster just to be clean of it. He’s worth a ****, ****, **** TON OF DRAFT CAPITAL. DONT **** THIS UP!
https://www.prosportstransactions.com/football/DraftTrades/Future/Dolphins.htm Looks like it’s 3 in next 2 years? It’s hard for me to understand it
That's what I'm seeing. They will have the 49ers FRP in 2022 and they will have their own and the 49ers in 2023. These are likely second half of the round picks. Throwing in second rounders probably only get you into the 50-55 range. It's really not an ideal package, but without another team to drive the price up, there's not much better they can do.
The only positive is San Fran is in a tough division and Miami still has to go through the Bills and possibly the Pats
Here's 2022... https://www.si.com/nfl/dolphins/news/miami-dolphins-and-their-current-2022-draft-picks 2023... https://www.si.com/nfl/dolphins/news/miami-dolphins-and-their-draft-pick-picture
Miami will cave first Or suffer first round exit with Tua #BDN is in the driver seat here and he knows it
I am sure the NFL will prove me wrong but I dont see the Fins caving, there is to much unknown, will WD-4 be able to play this year, will he be suspended next year once this goes to trial, does he settle with everyone in order to facilitate the deal. I am sure there is quite a bit of backdoor chatter (pun intended) to see what can be done.......but if I am the Fins, 3 1st round picks plus a few 2nd rounder's is to much not knowing what your going to get. But WD-4 seems to want to go and LORD knows they haven't had a franchise QB since Marino and your going to bring in (IMO) a classless act like WD-4? If I am the Fins I wait, they can always trade up next year and use there multiple first rounder's to move up and take a QB on a rookie contract....from what were hearing it doesn't seem like anyone else is in the hunt at this point so why bid against yourself. Pre sexual escapade WD-4 I would say its a no brainer but now.......like I said the NFL will probably prove me wrong, scumbag or not someone will take him
We'll see what happens, but this could be us just trying to drive a market for WD-4 (nice btw) to get it done before roster decisions. WD-4 could play this entire season before anything significant occurs on the legal side and may even be able to settle during the season. Hope Nick stays strong on his ask.
I don’t why you guys keep worrying about this. If we can’t get a decent package for him, the ideal outcome would be for him to refuse to play. We could sit him until all this is over and not pay him. We get to f*** this ******* and still get a great return next year. He is an awesome football player and a horrible human being. He will garner a great return if he doesn’t go to jail. We can wait, he can’t.
At this point, we should just wait. Don't take half a loaf back in return with the dark cloud of legal problems hanging over Watson. Encourage Watson to go settle with his accusers and then revisit the trade market. Now is just not the time to trade him.
As long as Watson doesn't thank the city of Houston or its fans on his way out...don't need his fake thanks or gratitude...just leave and be done with it...and take John McClain with you...
This. I’d make him active and require him to play if he refuses send him home for conduct detrimental and dock his paychecks. He will probably make up some ailment like he did in training camp though. You don’t trade a 26 yo top 5 QB for anything less than the rumored 3 1sts and multiple seconds.
There’s no reason or incentive for Houston to panic or be in a rush to do anything. They aren’t going to be competitive this year either with or without him, and his contract doesn’t really become that big of an issue until next season. They could easily wait this thing out all year, which is exactly what they should do unless someone meets their demands, because there’s no good reason to panic sell a young franchise quarterback. A year from now? Yeah. That would be a better time to worry, but not right now.
