In a week it’ll blow over. Especially with civil rights figures getting involved like they did with Vick in 2009
My guess would be that the 4 remaining are the actual "licensed" massage therapists that sued him. Trotting a parade of women in to court that were unquestionably breaking the law themselves wasn't a great foundation for a he said she said case.
Yep. The league is going to try to look like they give a ****, but in the end there’s no way Watson misses the year. Follow the money. Always!
From the trade, I suspect Watson ruling comes tomorrow we Texans fans will be very disappointed with the outcome. Just speculation on my part.
Has nothing to do with the Watson ruling. Mayfield was never playing for the Browns again. He basically said as much.
Unfortunately, for some reason, I felt the EXACT same way. Maybe it's because I'm a Texans survivor, but I felt like once they did this, that they "knew" it wasn't gonna be that bad of a suspension... Could be wrong, hopefully I'm wrong, but man.... this feels like 4 games or something stupid like that...
The Browns had no choice but to move Mayfield, he was never going to take another snap for them after they disrespected him by trading for a rapist to replace him. It has nothing at all to do with how long Watson is suspended. Mayfield wouldn't have even shown up to camp.
Baker was going to be traded regardless of what happened to Deshaun. Baker burned his bridge with the Browns after he posted that twitter sob story and requested a trade when he found out they were trying to get Watson. The Browns were prepared to roll with Jacoby Brissett as the starter.
This article doesn't paint a good picture for the Texans. I was hoping DeShaun would get an entire year but it's looking less and less likely. It would be like the Texans to screw this up, I bet if they had him still it would be a yearlong suspension. https://sports.yahoo.com/report-no-watson-suspension-negotiations-165525101.html
Not sure if I understand how the Texans 'screwed this up' if you think that had he still been with the Texans, it would have been a year long suspension.
LOL, what is that based on? Gut feeling or actual sources with knowledge of the situation. Josina Anderson's report yesterday was based on sources. I can't stand when members of the media put out speculation not based on confirmed facts.
