When I retired from the military my first boss was a big Browns fan and the most egotistical prick I've ever seen in my life. Karma is sweet justice sometimes.
Sums up perfectly the media's double-standard to covering Watson's case. We get a constant bombardment of negative news about Watson, but when it comes to Texans ownership who are also named as defendants or the indiscretions of owners who have also been accused of sexual assault the same media isn't as loud about those cases.
Texans aren’t named as defendants, yet. And it’s a big reach to even have them as defendants. Watson is the perpetrator here, deflecting from that isn’t fair to his victims.
Brought what up? The Texans? The poster was deflecting the blame to the Texans to defend Watson, Buzbee brought up the Texans after the SI report. Which doesn’t say the Texans did anything out of the usual in the actual report. Medias attention on Watson is fair and where it should be. If anything actually comes out about the Texans, then it should be on them.
Yeah, and the problem here is we still have posters willing to defend Watson to the end. Weird hill to die on
You can't pick and choose which parts of Buzbee's allegations you believe. If you believe him when he says Watson assaulted 24 women, believe him when he says the Texans helped him to do so. On the other hand, if you believe including the Texans as defendants is a reach, then why don't you believe he's reaching on the rest of the 24 lawsuits? Be consistent.
Again, the Texans are not defendants at this point. Buzbee piling on a gotcha headline to get more money for his clients is not the same as him telling the truth about each part of the case. I believe the 24+ women, Buzbee is a lawyer, I believe the victims.
I'm not in the category of defending Watson's character here. Most of these women were breaking the law by working unlicensed and or kept seeing him as a client. Maybe not in all cases but Watson is definitely guilty of solicitation. Buzbee's cattle call client base here doesn't help what was already a he-said she-said case, Licensed therapists do not appreciate untrained unlicensed therapists practicing in their profession because they are the catalysts for creeps like Watson to seek out more than a massage, Part of the problem is swallowing Buzbee's story without taking in to account the dynamics of unprofessional massage therapy. Neither the vast majority of the therapists or Watson are telling the real story here. The two grand juries didn't kill anyone on a hill.....
That's gonna be one of those "he's our QB" until he isn't situations. It won't be a gradual move from A to B. They gonna lawyer up and cut ties very suddenly.
When was the last trade voided by the NFL (I guess it's the Commish's call?) for non-injury reasons? It would be a very Texans (idiots that they are) thing for that to happen, I guess due to them covering stuff up for Watson and not being truthful with the NFL investigation.
