I was told by Time to chill he was as good as Burrow last week. And I WAS WRONG for saying Brisset was the best option at this point.
LOL. They've scored a grand total of 27 pts in Watson's 3 games. That was even playing one of the worst defenses in the NFl in Houston, and the Ravens with a backup QB.
He wasn't a top 5 guy to begin with, no matter what the stats might say. Good thing the Browns bought in.
The good thing for the Browns is that they structured his contract in such a way that if Watson fails to live up to it they can easily move on with, literally, no consequences to their cap or on field performance! That extension he signed is an example of pure fiduciary genius on the part of Browns management and ownership!. Throw in the incredible level of integrity, honesty and character that Watson brings to... Wait...whut?
Beauty is we got the picks regardless. I know he will get somewhat better once he sees consistent playing time. But I do love to watch him struggle. Bash me if you want, but I want Cleveland to taste the finger of the one giving the massages to Watson.
It’s a good week for the Watson haters, but your hot takes really expose that you aren’t watching the games. If you think Watson is bad you’re just regurgitating BS hot takes you read from Twitter. The Browns had a minuscule chance of making the playoffs when he made his debut against the Texans, so being eliminated this week is mostly the fault of the coaching staff led by Kevin Stefanski. Today Watson had a good game despite bad play calling and his INT came when the pass got deflected off the hands of his receiver. On the final drive his WRs dropped two passes that could’ve tied the game. If the Browns as an organization solve the coaching issue especially on defense and get Watson some more talent at WR to work with they will be dangerous.
Both Peoples-Jones and Njoku was afraid of getting hit at the end, that’s why they dropped it but I love it
